Deck Primer

HP stacking is some bull.

Specifically, Boufallant. That's the bull I'm talking about.

Lets look at our subject. Tornadus has 110 health, and is a colorless basic. If it uses Storm Barrier, it takes 50 less damage, putting it's Effective health, or the health it's treated as having, at 160. You then have two Boufallant on the bench, giving it another 60 points of Damage Resist. 220. You then reward it for being such a brave genie, with a Bravery Charm. 270. Lets look at our subject. Tornadus has 110 health, and is a colorless basic. You then have two Boufallant on the bench, giving it another 60 points of Damage Resist. 220. You then reward it for being such a brave genie, with a Bravery Charm. 270. Lively Stadium is on the field; 300. Then, you have a gym leader look at it. Jasmine's Gaze. 330. And you know what? You're fighting Klawf. You're against a Klawf deck. That's resistance. 360. Full rotation.

Objectively, we could switch the Bravery Charms out for Luxurious Capes. That's twice as effective, but it comes with twice the risk. It's easy to forget; you still have to knock your opponents 'mon out. 100 damage isn't anything to sneeze at, but it's also not Great, is it.

The whole plan falls apart to a single Pikachu. So just like, don't fight Pikachu. Easy as. Or give up 50 HP and space in the deck for Protective Goggles. If you're up against a lotta lightning, then objectively speaking, that's more objective health. Case by case.
