Only focus for discard pile should be getting ammunition back in play. You won't play more than 2 Onix out of this. 4-8 energy overall at best. Rod can help with the energy Retrieval if needed but even by the its nothing but a low chance if you get it back.
Where it says cover card when you're submitting the deck that's the card that will be displayed
If you've only got one type of basic energy, energy search is a waste of space, you'd be better off replacing them with fighting energy, maybe one with energy lotto instead so you have the full 4
I know it's a meme deck but you won't really win without any sort of draw and search, nest ball and supporters should help. I don't think that recovery is the most important aspect of this deck, since you have 33 Pokémon and you shouldn't run out.
Normally i would agree, however; hitting fast to try and prevent oppenent set up is key. Also, Outside of having 4 energy (2 of them being fghting) on your Onix by your 3rd draw, to utilize 2nd attack for 100 damage, i cant see chancing it. However as you said, its a meme deck. If you can turn this into more ill be a fan of it hands down.
