Haha I love this! I'm wondering if Latias ex is good for pivoting since Live obviously doesn't have access to Float Stone, and Air Balloon still requires a DCE to be attached for a retreat, making certain gusting plays more difficult to work around. Oranguru/Academy at Night could also be used in tandem with Genesect ex to make Onix slightly more reliable, but it's not required.

Thank you so much, and I'm glad you like it! So when it comes to an average boardstate, I would argue that it should be 2-3 Onix, 2 Genesect, and possibly fez/oricorio. Air balloon would be beneficial if anyone runs into the issue of getting stalled out, but a lot of decks in live expanded are not going to do that. Latias would not be worth it because your main attacker is a stage 1. 

Genesect ex's ability Genesect ex (Black Bolt) searches the deck for 2 metal evolution pokemon, so you do not need to manipulate your top deck for the deck to deal damage! You just search for 4-6 evolution pokemon per turn to 1HKO things :D
