A few things I'd change:
- Where's Pineco? Forretress is useless without it.
- Why bill and none of the 'draw 3' supporters? If you have a reason to draw 2 specifically, use Beauty at least.
- Glimwood Tangle does nothing to fix Ad Hoc Shock since it's not an attack.
- I'm not even sure if Electrik is the way to go anyways. Mareep from Lost Thunder achieves sleep, and is generally easier to accomplish.
- Perhaps using Galarian Zigzagoon or Hawlucha is better than the convoluted Electrik strategy anyways, since they can place the final damage counter even if they switch or retreat. That's the other thing, for paralysis doesn't prevent Pokémon-switching trainers, which almost everyone has.
- Cards like LT. Surge's Strategy and Iono are good with this sort of deck since you'll be handing over a lot of prize cards to your opponent thanks to Forretress ex.
- I find Nest Ball to be better than Great Ball by quite a bit, but that's just me.
Other than that, it seems good for what it's trying to accomplish, even if Ditto does the same thing but better for the most part.
CountyGibbon798, Thank You for your helpful input. I had completely forgot Pineco (somehow) and I believe you are correct in that Electrik is not the way to go. I took your advice and added Mareep instead. As for Bill, It isn't a supporter and therefore lets me save that spot for Will to guarantee False Swipe. You are also correct about Glimwood Tangle. That was part of the text that I had overlooked, and now have removed it from my deck. As for your suggestion of using something like Zigzagoon or Hawlucha, I don't think it would work very well because the point of the deck in the first place is to take as many prize cards as possible quickly with Beast Game, so KOing with other Pokemon that only would take 1, 2, or 3 prize cards might be to slow and defeat the purpose. As for the fact that they could use Switch to get out of Paralysis, you are right. My hope was that even if they did Switch out, you could immediatly Gust of Wind it back. As for Iono, I didn't want to shuffle my hand away, or take up the supporter spot for Wil; And Lt. Surge's Strategy, doesn't help very much because I only have one supporter in the deck and there is no advantage to playing it twice. I did end up adding Reset Stamp though to benefit off of the forretress defecit like you said. Last point. The main reason I don't use Nest Ball, is the fact that I can't benefit off of Dedenne GX with it because it auto plays it to my bench. I did end up adding Quick Ball though. Again, thanks for your helpful insight, and suggestions. Hopefully over time I can continue to perfect this deck. :)
mumu squad Yeah no problem! I never caught on to the fact that the base set trainers aren't supporters, so everything about them went past my head completely. If you are willing to run supporters, perhaps something like VS Seeker would work well? It can also help you recycle Wills. Something like Lumineon V or Misty's favour can also help you fish for them. I believe that Zigzagoon and/or Hawlucha is a good idea to run one of in your deck as a backup plan, even if you don't need it at points. Overall, this is a big improvement from the last version! :D
mumu_squad Lol I tagged the wrong person in my previous comment. Here you go!
Upon further research, beast ring can also work well, since using Forretress once activates it.
