I've always loved multi-color attackers (started with the old-school lugia's that took Fire, Water, Lightning to do a bajillion damage). Grafaiaia has intrigued me, but I've staved off on it for now just cause it relies on such a big hand to be able to really get that damage output. Plus, it's a sin that it HAS to have a dark to use the attack- being a colorless would make it so much better!
I'm afraid I haven't come up with much of a good strategy for using this guy. But I would suggest switching out 1 of every one of your non-dark energies for some other colors, just cause why not go full rainbow, and guarantee that aside from darks, you'll never have duplicate energy types in hand to chuck- since you get the +40 for each different type. So go as different as possible!
I'd also go higher on energy retrievals to keep the attack recurring each turn, and maybe something like Gordie or Lady to get more energies in the hand earlier on. Or even a Klara or two, to get back a 1-1 line of Grafaiaia and 2 energies. I think for this to be viable, you need to be swinging for 160 minimum every turn (4 different energies)- but of course, doing 200+ might be preferable to one shot V's. Also be wary of hand shuffle cards being used against you if you try to hoard too many energies and the opponent knows it.

Great to hear there are more rainbow deck builders. Yeah it's a shame about Grafaiai it also gets owned pretty hard by lost box.
I was playing with the idea of zoruark but that would just make the deck massively complicated.
