Deck Primer

This deck can FULL counter meta Charizard ex, Gholdengo ex, and Chien Pao ex decks!

Objective

Your objective is to figure out what type of deck your opponent is running and get the appropriate setup before they can, which can easily be done with Arceus VSTAR.
In this case, we have two main stall Pokemon that can prevent damage via ability or attack.

Setup
Use Arceus along with his VStar ability to set up Alolan Vulpix V (Silver Tempest) if they are running Charizard ex (Obsidian Flames), Giratina

Objective

Your objective is to figure out what type of deck your opponent is running and get the appropriate setup before they can, which can easily be done with Arceus VSTAR.
In this case, we have two main stall Pokemon that can prevent damage via ability or attack.

Setup
Use Arceus along with his VStar ability to set up Alolan Vulpix V (Silver Tempest) if they are running Charizard ex (Obsidian Flames), Giratina VSTAR (Lost Origin), Gardevoir ex (Paldean Fates), Gholdengo ex (Paradox Rift), or decks where most/all of their aggression comes from Pokemon with abilities.

Or set up Farigiraf ex (Temporal Forces) if they are running decks like  Future Iron Hands ex (Paradox Rift) / Miraidon ex (Paldean Fates) or decks where the majority of their Pokemon are BASIC ex Pokemon (Charizard ex is not basic for example).

Once set up, maintain the edge!
Once you set up just one of these Pokemon, the opponent for the most part won't be able to do much. Make sure you keep the Pokemon healthy and BY ITSELF that way they don't just Boss' Orders their way to victory.

Ensure you KO Supporter Pokemon that feed Pokemon energy because if they get a Pokemon on the field that bypasses your invulnerability, you're pretty much over if they get the setup they need. A key example would be your opponent setting up Basic Miraidon or Basic Iron Hands to chip KO their way to victory. If your opponent runs a surprise Safeguard Mimikyu (Paldean Fates), use Canceling Cologne (Astral Radiance) to bypass the roadblock.

Struggles

This deck struggles against Dialga VStar, Roaring Moon (with the basic Roaring Moons being used aggressively), Ancient Box decks using mostly basic Ancients, and some Lost Zone Box decks if the opponent gets a good setup early.

Some smart opponents will target your gimmick Pokemon before you can set them up (either KO or getting a massive chip), this can be problematic, but trying to set up multiple (2) at a time, should make decisions harder for your opponent.

The key to beating these decks is inconsistent but if you can target the setup Pokemon (like preventing Metang setups or targeting Comfey), you can keep pressure on the opponent and prevent them from getting a full proper setup whilst getting your setup.

For the decks I mentioned above and a few others, you'll want to stray away from just gimmicks and try and get your Prize Cards in before your opponent can. You can get some solid damage and chip in with Firagiraf and Arceus is decently tanky but will also help a ton in getting that damage.

TIPS

Use Maximum Belt on Alolan Vulpix VSTAR if facing Charizard ex decks to 2-shot the zards (instead of 3).
You can also use Maximum Belt on Arceus VSTAR to help get critical damage/potential KOs against threat Pokemon while getting your own Pokemon set up.

Use Cheren's Care on your Arceus after your gimmick Pokemon has been fully set up to get a free switch AND deny your opponent from getting any prize cards.

Place chip counters from your Farigarif's attack on Pokemon that are slightly too bulky to one-shot with your main attack or on weak support Pokemon to further deny your opponent and eventually rack in an additional prize card.

Please give this deck suggestions to make it more viable!

Also when giving suggestions, can you give me a brief thought process? I want to become a better deck builder, and also want to try and predict how the changes will fare when I try them out, thanks!

The deck isn't as expensive as it proclaims it to be, I just wanted to use gold cards. 🥴

At least 1 Lost vac instead of Trekking Shoes so that you can disrupt your opponents tools.

I don't think this deck counters chien pao due to them usually running Canceling Cologne (Astral Radiance)
