Deck Primer

Made in Pokémon TCG Live. I put this deck together to punish decks that lean hard on V Pokémon. This deck struggles against hands where the opponent is able to energize a V early and sweep your team. However, there's no feeling quite like getting an early Decidueye against a team of all-V and watching your opponent struggle to do anything.

I've suffered my share of long losing streaks, but a win with this deck feels amazing. I hope amuses you, if not spurs you to try something similar.

I would just run this with the Applin Line- check out TandemTCG's list for Appletun/Flapple for inspiration. Regardless of that though:

Way too much energy. Cut the powerful colorless and go for a 5-4 Grass-Fire split for a total of 9 energy.

Cut the Decidueye line and use basics instead which can achieve the same thing without having to rely on a stage 2 Pokemon. I recommend Miltank and Jynx if you want to run this to punish V decks.

Cut all the Vs:
Ho-oh does nothing for you in this deck. It needs at least 4 different types of basic energy to actually be useful, and you cannot attach the Powerful Colorless from the discard.
Regidrago is meant for Regidrago VStar decks and it is not a very good card on its own.
The Serperior V/Vstar could theoretically work here, but what does it accomplish? You need to think of reasons why you're including one-ofs in a deck. If you don't have more copies, I don't think there is much point to it being here. Use that space for better support Pokemon instead.

The deck that gets the most views on a day gets deck of the day for that day, and this deck is awesome, so it deserved it.
