Deck Primer

A deck built around 1, getting the best out of Ho-Oh as possible. It only has 2 cards in there but what the secondary theme is based on dictates so. Whereas my 'Special Forces' deck focuses on preserving/ extending the duration of the life of the cards on the board, 'Arcane Pheonix' relays on sacrifice (Ho-Oh) to get the most out of it!

if you get out an early Arceus / Ho-Oh combo off the first draw, just go with it. Tank out Ho-Oh and get another Arceus ready as back up!

in general though, the idea would be to get Arceues set up with a back up, and a Diancie to protect the bench when bringing Ho-Oh back to it. Ho-Oh just needs dropping into the discard pile along the way, ready for a supercharged comeback from the grave!!
the energies discarded with a KO'd card are what Ho-Oh needs, so don't be to afraid to discard the odd energy, and you can always use energy recycle to keep the arceus train going. Cheren's care would also be the way to go for that, making sure to have at least 1 Lugia V on the bench at all times, ready to replace a damaged lugia Vstar at a moments notice!
use Thornton to easily switch in a discarded Ho-Oh to a supercharged Lumineon V, or discard a damaged card with volo to avoid a prize card and charge up Ho-Oh once again.  Use irida to gain easier access to said lumineon.
since this deck should be pretty heavy hitting, if they don't 1 shot the opponent they'll tend to just be off the mark by very few. Therefore in that situation a panic mask will cause the opponent all kinds of issues. Either they have to switch out, if they can?! Or they take the hit/ sacrifice?!
the shopping centre stadium allows more freedom to get the tool onto the necessary card when needed.
