Playstyle Overview

Accelerate Metal Energy into the discard pile early on to fuel your heavy-metal attackers, then cycle through high-HP tanks to outlast the opponent.

Early Game:

Your top priority is using Squawkabilly ex's Squawk and Seize ability on Turn 1. You need to dump as many Metal Energies into the Trash as possible via Squawkabilly, Ultra Ball, or Earthen Vessel. This sets up the "fuel" for Archaludon ex so that the moment it evolves on Turn 2, it can instantly recover 2 of those Energies.

Mid Game:

You now have two Tanker options: Archaludon ex or Scizor VMAX. If the opponent relies heavily on Pokémon Tools or Special Energy, push Scizor V to the Active spot first to disrupt them. Use Metal Saucer and the Alloy Construction ability simultaneously to fully power up a benched attacker in a single turn. Make sure Metal Frying Pan is attached to remove your Weakness to Fire-type Pokémon.

Finisher:

Use Acerola to scoop up a heavily damaged Archaludon ex back into your hand, then immediately evolve it from another Duraludon on your Bench to re-trigger its ability. If you run low on Energy in the Trash, use Mt. Coronet to recover them to your hand for manual attachments. Close out the match with Metal Defender (220 damage), which keeps Archaludon ex immune to any Weakness on your opponent's upcoming turn.
