To start, use a combination of Oak, Trader, Breeder and Computer search to get your key pokemon into the game and evolved, whilst adding all important "chain reaction"  grass energy to your discard pile. Set up Energy Trans Venusaur on your bench alongside Exeggcutor and have Mewtwo and his energy absorption in your active slot. Now your chain reaction is ready. Have Mewtwo bring discarded grass energy back to the field, using super potion to keep him healthy. Then, have Venusaur attach these cards to Exeggcutor, and alongside your standard energy additions (including your Double Colourless) - you could have Exeggcutor enter the field with 10+ energy within three turns to bust walls and sweep your opponent as the big eggsplosion gets potentially bigger and bigger. (Future editions can benefit from Alolan Exeggcutor who can attack based on discarded energy.)
