Deck Primer

This deck felt like it had the weakest starting point. Mewtwo-GX feels a bit underpowered compared to the others, and the deck struggles with low HP, low damage potential and very little to help search/draw. The cards also don't really compliment each other at all.

Pokemon

Snorlax really isn't working here. It can tank/stall, but with 4 manual attachments to attack it's unlikely to happen. It doesn't offer any draw or search. If you wanted to keep snorlax, I'd trade it for the Vivid Voltage / Gormandize

Pokemon

Snorlax really isn't working here. It can tank/stall, but with 4 manual attachments to attack it's unlikely to happen. It doesn't offer any draw or search. If you wanted to keep snorlax, I'd trade it for the Vivid Voltage / Gormandize version to get some draw.

Mew has too low HP to be worth 2 energy attachments for only 50 damage.

Mespirit benching 3 basic pokemon for a single energy is good, but only early on. With only one copy it's unlikely we're able to make the most of this card, better to use a trainer card for search instead.

Mareanie / Toxapex works okay. The low energy cost to get going is compelling, and early game this can be quite useful. But the damage stopping at 70 and having only 110HP means it's not staying alive in the active long while you power up something else. I want to keep it, as it's the primary attacker of the base deck, but reduce it down to a 2-2 line.

Eevee / Espeon is situational, but really powerful when it works. Having this sit on the bench ready to respond to a KO with a single energy attachment against a set-up opponent for 80-100 damage is great. Or the ability to draw in early game is an option. Trimming this to a 2-2 line since we'll have more search from the trainers.

Adding Crown Zenith Mewtwo - the other two decks have a non-GX version of the feature card, this Mewtwo can attach 2 energy from discard pile and late game can hit 180 for 3 energy.

Adding Galarian Articuno - the other two decks have their type-matching Legendary bird. The cruel charge ability can help get energy onto the board quickly.

Adding Chilling Reign Cresselia - keeping to the spirit of the deck using the same Pokemon, but bringing some more energy acceleration into play. Also having the possibility to hit for 120 turn two is attractive.

You could change this further, but I still wanted it to feel like the same deck. I've already introduced several new cards to the line-up.

Trainers

I'm not a fan of Bug Catcher.

Fog Crystal is great to get what you need in hand - energy of Basic Pokemon (all except Eevee).

Some standard Evolution Incense & Quick Ball to improve search

Energy Recycler and Energy Switch let us make the most of the energy we have to work with.
