Deck Primer

With the new set coming out, I wanted to try and think of how the new self-devo item would feel if it existed now. The only decent one that came to mind, that we have in our format, is Dachsbund ex. With its ability to heal all damage from evolution pokemon when you play it from your hand to evolve, this can be very benefical for you and frustrating for your opponent. The only downside is that you have to discard the energies attached to those evolved pokemon. So, to help manage that loss of energy

The only downside is that you have to discard the energies attached to those evolved pokemon. So, to help manage that loss of energy i figured Blaziken ex would be a great partner since it has an easy time dealing with that downside. We play 2 Turos to recycle that healing ability, alongside the pal pad to get a total of 4 uses from it (or to reuse a boss). This is still a work in progress and i've only been playing in Casuals ptcg matches, so if you see any room for improve it please feel free to let me (and anyone else interested in playing this deck) know.

The deck doesn't do well against the Dragapult matchup, so any advice on how to make it favorable would be appreciated :)

I think there is another good thing if the devo thing existed now, maybe  Octillery for Suction Cup Draw? Oh, and I have no idea how to make this a favorable matchup against Dragapult.

Also I am pretty sure that Indeedee isn't good in this deck because Dachsbun's ability only activates when youevolve it from your hand.

Indeedee is in the deck to set up Blaziken ex / Pidgeot ex. The Devo item that's being released only works for psychic pokemon, so any pokemon outside of that typing wouldn't benefit. You do have the new alakazam evo line, so you still get your draw

I agree with Pe7son, if your opponent doesn't KO it Indeedee eats up bench space which you kinda need since you're running three evolution lines - and it provides the same effect as TM Evo. I think you'll struggle less against Pult once we get the devo card since you can heal much more often, but you could consider replacing Indeedee with a Lillie's Clefairy ex (and if you added a few Psychic energy you could also use it as a backup attacker, if you can't get a Blaziken set up). Budew is also really good against evolving decks since it locks them out of using Rare Candy, giving you more time to set up.

Once we get Strange **** I'm going to try it out with Espathra (Paradox Rift), that seems like it could be a fun rogue deck.
