SGLC (Semi or Sorta Gym Leader Challenge) is a Singleton format, no Rule box Pokémon, and cards after Sun & Moon can be used for this format as well. SGLC doesn't have type restrictions like GLC, so using mix types is encouraged to cover weaknesses.

This desk almost fits within the GLC formatting, but incorporates Turtonator from Dragon's Majesty for added power and a way to deal with Water types that threaten this team. Charizard from Pokémon GO has created many more new strategies with its Burn Brightly ability. The 4 Pokémon that take the most advantage is Heatmor, Turtonator, Centiskorch, and Victini. Victini is a great support that can grab any card that may be needed from the deck. Having this out on your second turn if you go first with two Fire energy can get you two cards of your choosing.  Charizard reduces the energy required for this move to just 1. Centiskorch is a great way to attack the opponent alternatively in leiu of damage. With just 2 Fire energy attached it can discard 4 cards from the top of the opponent's deck. If this centipede isn't knocked out within a couple turns it can drain the opponent of key cards needed to finish out the rest of the game. Turtonator also takes advantage of this because with just 2 Fire energy attached to itself, it can deal 200 damage with the support of Charizard. It can also utilize any Fire energy attached to the bench by discarding those cards instead. Heatmor can be absolutely devastating to opponents that want to build up their strong attackers on the bench. With just 3 Fire energy attached to it and the support of Charizard, it can deal a respectable 90 damage to the active and 180 damage to any of your opponent's benched Pokémon. This is pretty much a knock out on anything of your choosing.

Besides Charizard's ability, the other supporter Pokémon include Rapidash, which can increase damage output from your Fire types by 30 damage for the turn. The drawback is a single energy discarded from your hand. Salazzle has Roast Reveal which for a single card discarded will allow for 3 more cards drawn from your deck. Volcanion can cycle through the deck quickly if you go second by attaching 3 Fire energy from your deck to your Pokémon in any way you'd like. Volcanion can cover energy attachment because  this deck can be slow to build at first. Ho-oh's Sacred Fire attack can be great for pressuring weaker Pokémon on the Bench.

With 19 Fire energy, there is no fear to discard these for Kindler to grab 2 cards from your top 7. Magma Basin is a great combination with all the ways Fire energy gets disacrded. The bench can be continously be built up in anticipation for the next attack.
