BLISTERING BLOOM - Budget Zarude/Cherrim/Eldegoss deck

This Budget Deck is really quite good if you can set it up right. I've used this deck in a few tournaments doing fairly well, but losing VERY HARD to Lost Box Sableye (Lost Origin). When the Paradox Rift expansion came out recently, so did Jirachi (Paradox Rift), nerfing Sableye, our worst fear. I replaced Manaphy (Brilliant Stars) with Jirachi, but you can return Manaphy in place of an energy. 

With this deck, going second is the best option because Zarude (Chilling Reign)‘s

I replaced Manaphy (Brilliant Stars) with Jirachi, but you can return Manaphy in place of an energy. 

With this deck, going second is the best option because Zarude (Chilling Reign)‘s Pack Call attack allows you to get any three Pokémon except Jirachi if you use it on your first turn going second. Zarude's Repeated Whip attack deals more damage for each energy attached to it and is the main attack output of this deck. This goal is supported by the following:

1. Cherrim (Battle Styles)

Cherrim allows you to attach as many energy as you like to Zarude every turn, and can even attack if you’re in a pickle. Attach 3 energy for 120 damage, 7 energy for 200, 12 energy for 300 and 14 for 340: the maximum HP of all cards as of Paradox Rift.

2. Eldegoss (Evolving Skies)

Eldegoss allows you to access more and more energy from your deck every single turn. With two Eldegoss in play, you’ll be getting four energy every single turn!

3. Grotle (Brilliant Stars)

Grotle allows for a much quicker setup, and can provide you with a new Zarude every time you get knocked out. Are all of your Zarude in the discard pile with no Klara in sight? Evolve it!

4. Torterra (Brilliant Stars)

Evolving your Grotle into Torterra Can give you a massive 200 damage with one benched Cherrim and two Eldegoss for just two energy. Perfect for backup just in case!

5. Gloria (Brilliant Stars)

I chose Gloria over Battle VIP Pass because would you rather get two on your first turn or three on any turn you play it? This is another reason why going second is best for this deck so you can play it on your first turn.

6. Klara (Chilling Reign)

Klara is the best recovery card in the standard format. Play Klara to return two Zarude and two energy to your hand from your discard pile. Not too shabby! 

This deck is easy to learn, fun to play, actually good, but most importantly: CHEAP! You can get this deck for the price of a theme deck, which basically means it’s amazing. Have fun playing this deck casually or competitively.
