Deck Primer

Make a big splash as you surge the tides.  Gather as much Water Energy with Tastugiri to deal big damage with Floatzel and Chien-Pao ex.  If most of your Tastugiri have fallen, let loose with Dondozo.  Should your opponent gain the upper hand, surprise them with Iono or Defiance Band.

Replace Quaquaval with Baxcalibur. Lose a Quaxly and Quaxwell, and add a Rare Candy. Also you should run 4 Irida. If you want, you can run a Candice or 2. You should not run Nemona or Defiance Band. You also have too many Professor's Research for an evolution deck. With 2 Iono, 1 is more than enough. You also don't need Quaquaval ex. A better Hydro Pump attacker is Veluza as it is a basic, does and extra 10 damage, and has an energy conserving ability. If you have Chien-Pao, I'd just focus on that. The Dondozo/Tatsugiri combo isn't good except in its own deck when you use Baxcalibur to accelerate energy. You need more trainers. Also 20 energy is absurdly high. You can get away with 10-14 depending on your focus. Specifically, with 4 Superior Energy Retrieval, you can get away with that count. Mostly, this deck lacks focus, with multiple strategies at once that don't mesh well, which takes up trainer space. You could split this into 3 different decks. I'd recommend a Chien-Pao focus, possibly with Veluza (Paradox Rift) as an alternate attacker if you really want. You can also focus solely on Hydro Pump, or on Dondozo/Tatsugiri.
