Wowee! So many good choices! This entire deck took so many hard choices and this version one might not be perfect. Especially consistancy wise. But it is a start, and a standard format deck.

Anyways let's get to the strategy.

Talking and intro

Wowee! So many good choices! This entire deck took so many hard choices and this version one might not be perfect. Especially consistancy wise. But it is a start, and a standard format deck.

Anyways let's get to the strategy.

First off the whole point is sort of based around unown. But I made it funner not better. Because It makes your cards do double the damage while it's alive, but what if it dies? It is not like you can just use the vstar power all over again? That is why this makes sense.

As I am used to expanded format where I can use practically anything I want, it was a real struggle at first to find the right cards. But when you limit yourself to standard format, that box lets you come up with genius ideas. This may not be one of those, but its worth a shot.

Anyways the main cards are Calyrex vmax, Gardevior ex, and Unown vstar. Gardivior and calyrex are energy acceleration, but if you use Unown vstar's ability, they can both one shot any of your opponents pokemon. Plus if unown leaves you, by then you should have given Calyrex enough energies to do a pretty good hit. You should have him powered up by then. RIGHT? But please don't let unown die. I WILL be sad.

The pokemon!

Mimikyu is my favorite card paldea evolved gave to us. 0 damage? CRAZY. If you are stuck being attacked by a wo chien (probably not best example) or something, you can just swap on up the mimikyu and kill it until it is dead, taking no damage. Plus, what opponent is going to discard those four energies they worked so hard to get?

Pumpkaboo is to counter these deck's greatest weakness, path to the peak. And its great. No more needs to be said.

I absolutely LOVE dedenne ex, no matter what everyone else says. You combo it up with our good ol' clefable ex, and when that calyrex is looking pretty beat up, swap it for dedenne, heal it, and do that damage to their active pokemon. Plus paired with unown, that is 340 damage a hit, enough to knock out etarnatus and tyranitaur and stuff like that. Plus you can just reattach that lost energy with gardivior.

Arceus v is just a little early game energy accelaration for those guys that count. I think that in a later version I will remove it or add it's evolution, but right now I don't want to do all the brainwork to do that. I mean, second turn 3 more energies? All it does though is power up calyrex though, so that might be a bit useless so maybe in the next version I'll get rid of it. Cuz if you don't get calyrex, that's just annoying.

You know what else is annoying? The fact that I don't have battle VIP pass in this deck! Why you ask? Because I forgot it existed! GRRR.

Kirlia is simply just a little girl pokemon letting us draw cards. Simple as that.

Unown v will mainly be used for being evolved and then using it's vstar form for doing crazy stuff, but victory symbol is pretty dang good if the time is right.

You know what ralts is for. Don't you?

Clefable ex is very important to the deck. I mean, you can't go wrong with free switching. Also think of all the combos you can do! Remeber the dedenne one from earlier? There is that and MUCH more.

Shadow rider calyrex Vmax is a good fun card to do a lot of damage. Plus it is draw support and energy acceleration. Plus it has a ton of HP. What more could you ask for? I don't see why it isn't meta.

You know what clefairy is for.

Unown Vstar itself does a healthy amount of damage, but its real showstopper is star cypher. Pair that up with supereffective glasses and you are set for life. X3 damage to whatever you hit. 120 damage can one hit KO anything.

Gardevior is wonderful in all sorts of ways. Not only is it amazing for energy rotation, but also it does a buttload of damage which, when multiplied with unown, KOs anything. And it heals itself from special conditions. AND it gives dedenne some damage to move AND it has rediculously high HP.

BORING TRAINERS!

These should be pretty self explanatory but I will go through them.

Adventurer's discovery is great for getting some of the most important cards in the deck including shadow rider calyrex V and Vmax, unown vstar, and unown v.

Fog crystal is pretty much a better version of nest ball, because it grabbs you either a basic pokemon or a energy. The only thing it is restricted from is arceus v.

Lady is just plain great for getting the energies so that you can play them with calyrex.

Boss's orders is so that you can one shot those big cards that your wimpy opponent is trying to hisde from your X3 damage calyrex Vmax. that does 3000 damage and is really scary.

Choice belt? I dunno. Probably an accident while I was scrolling down items. OH WELL.

Professor's research is just good consistancy. Simple as that.

Supereffective glasses is for earlier on when your callyrex can only do 120 damage, but your opponen't is already weak to psychic so it is 240 damage. You think you've got them cornered when they whip out a tyranitaur ex and smack you down to 70 HP. You are like "Oh n0o0o0 he's gunna kill meeee. WHAA." When the ancient egyptian pharoh inside your necklace tells you to 'beleive in the heart of the cards' and you draw... SUPEREFFECTIVE GLASSES! and you are like 'how does this help me? It's just a pair of glasses!' but it actually makes you original damage triple! making it 360 and enough to knock it out! And so that is the long version of why it is in there.

Ultra ball is great. No more needs to be said.

Jacq is like a double evolution inscense, but a supporter.
