I would recommend Reversal Energy (Paradox Rift) for a fast and easy setup camerupt when behind also with the benfits of discarding it to gain the extra damage bonus from it. Could also add Professor Turo's Scenario (Paradox Rift) or Penny (Scarlet & Violet) to recover the squawkability if you want to stick to a 1 price deck. I am unsure how great Camerupt (Paldean Fates) is as a 1 price attacker I feel like its suffers from taking a while to setup for a 1 price attacker if the opponent is playing anything aggressive it will be hard to keep ahead and if you are ahead you will have trouble setting up fast to respond to threats of the Opponent. I def. used it before in a zoroark box deck before it left standard, but I am unsure how useful it is as like the main attacker. the ancient basic 1 price cards are pretty good atm and Feraligatr (Temporal Forces) is pretty decent atm. if you want to go for just single price attacking Politoed (Lost Origin) can also be quite strong. Both of them get to 280 max while Feraligatr is def. more reliable at doing 280 if you had in some switch cards etc. Golurk (Temporal Forces) is also quite good atm against a lot of meta decks, but feel free to go for a single price based around Camerupt.

GrandpaGusta Thanks for such a comprehensive writeup! Looking at your other 1 prize suggestions, it looks like you're right - Camerupt doesn't have the juice. Even with the benefit of being a Stage 1 attacker, playing Arven/Rare Candy package to support the stage 2 mons you listed is better. I'll experiment with your suggestions.

Mabe add in the new Infernape (Twilight Masquerade) to get your fighting energy.

gwevljf That's a good idea! I'm gonna try a new build with that.
