Centiskorch fills two purposes from other Fire-type VMaxes. The Pokemon itself it relatively low maintance and doesn't demand Magma Basin, this allows you to actually use Magma Basin on Moltres without feeling like you are gutting your own tempo. And the other difference is that Centiskorch, while low maintance, doesn't mind having a crap ton of energy on it unlike a card like Victini VMax. This makes it the perfect partner to Arceus.
