Deck Primer

This is a deck that aims to hit hard, and hit fast. There's not much else to it. Ceruledge wants to go first, pitch as much energy into the discard as possible, and hit big on your second turn before your opponent can set up. As you take more turns, your discard pile should grow, allowing you to take down larger attackers in the late game.

It's not particularly meta, but it can be strong if you can get ahead of your opponent and control the tempo with raw damage output.

Notes:

  • Try and go first.

Notes:

  • Try and go first. Discard as much energy as you can turn 1, prioritize getting your Lunatone & Solrock out and finding a Carmine.
  • Mist Energy gives you some defense against things like Alakazam, Festival Lead, and Dragapult while still counting towards the power of Abyssal Flames if you don't need it.
  • Stadiums are interesting -- there's not room for more than 2 in my opinion, but TR Watchtower, Jamming Tower, and Battle Cage are all good swaps if you want to be more defensive against the meta. The deck is so straightforward though, I think you'll have better luck just focusing on pitching as much energy as possible as fast as possible, and worrying less about defense.
  • 3 Boss's Orders may seem high, but being able to control the field is very important in this meta, and this deck has no way to do so otherwise.
  • You may decide to go with Special Red Card over Judge, but I tend to favor Judge as defense against a self-deck-out.
  • Blowtorch is great for Mega Greninja and/or Dragapult matchups that run Neo-Upper Energy. Otherwise, the Greninja matchup is pretty cooked.
  • Sometimes I end up discarding plenty of energy before ever finding Brilliant Blender. Worth considering another ACE SPEC, not sure at the moment.
