This deck is built around the Abyssal Flames attack, So with 15 energy discarded you should be hitting for 330 damage which ought to one shot most things. Admittedly that doesn't leave a lot for the Ceruledge itself, but it likely isn't getting one shot itself most of the time anyway so you maybe can get away with not completely screwing yourself.
Not sure if this is practical at all since I imagine if a few of the ceruledge go down and if things are prized it can he a little rough for sure.
Not sure if there's any ace spec worth running for this
I could try computer search I guess
The benchmark I usually aim for in terms of damage to 2 shot everything efficiently is 180 damage. In order to hit that with this you only need to get 8 energy in the discard pile, at which point I feel like the damage might actually just become redundant.
Tangent Thoughts?
Awesome
Hisuian Ball is dumb. I like the idea of using Green's, but I think a Carmine/Research engine is more effective, depending on your build, and it allows you to use Dedenne-GX and Squawkabilly ex and Radiant Greninja. If you want to focus on Green's, I'd suggest running more Battle Compressor, and either Brilliant Blender or Computer Search as ACE SPEC. I'd want to be as turbo as possible with that build without committing to Wally. 16 Energy also isn't enough since you're likely to prize some so you can't get a full 15 in discard with one to attack, unless you run Sparkling Crystal, which is a bad idea. Fiery Flint would do wonders for you as well. Quick Ball is also something to consider for the discard. Also, 60HP Charcadet isn't optimal. I'll make a version myself if that's okay with you.
Tangent I personally like the consistency of Green better here. Also, you're definitely right about the hisuian heavy, not sure why I felt those mattered for this particular one lmao. I hadn't heard of Fiery Flint before, I like it. Computer Search makes more sense to me over brilliant Blender for consistency as it is more versitle, and if I use it to search out battle compressor it's essentially the same (Or search out green and 2 battle compressor's, mwahaha).
Anyway yeah, since I'm using green I still don't want to use radiant greninja or squawk or dedenne, though I did originally consider them for this. And, I get what you mean about the 60hp Charcadet, I kinda just wanted him to have the possibility of protecting himself if I bricked turn 1 :(
I saw Fiery Torch as well and was wondering if that would be worthwile over Giant Hearth or Bicycle? I feel like probably not since we need to refill our hand after emptying it and more is almost always better than less, but torch would let us discard more stuff in hand, and it does techinically replace itself...
I did go ahead and check out your standard versions of the deck, and I think they look dope. I'm definitely waiting to get back into standard until the next rotation happens since I want to see what the game will look like without V pokemon
I like the Green's build. What's appealing to me about an ability build is that you can use Salvatore or Wally T1 going second, but greens offers huge consistency at the cost of abilities. I forgot to mention Heat Factory Prism Star as well, as a powerful draw engine. Fiery Torch is terrible. You get the same effect on a stadium with Heat Factory or Scorched Earth. Scorched earth might even be worth considering since you have no draw engine. I would also consider secret box since it can search stadiums, but comp search is also extremely powerful. I like what you are doing here and I'm excited to see the final product.
Playing quad Ceruledge is really nice. However you really need Research or Carmine.
