Deck Primer

This deck has fallen off after Stellar Crown and got worse after Rotation, but this deck will slowly rise again. (Hopefully)

Strategy: I'd recommend to go second with this deck. Anyways, for your First Turn, get out 1-2 Chien-Pao ex's, 2 Frigibax's, and 1 Varoom. You could also get out Wellspring for an early Sob Lock. Anyways, your main goal with your First Turn is to potentially use TM: Evolution to get out your Arctibaxes so you have an easier time to get your Baxcalibur's or to get out Revavroom.

Anyways, what this deck gains from Destined Rivals is Petrel, TR's Transciever, and TR's Factory. Now yes these cards seem odd to be in a Non-Team Rocket's Deck but many Chien-Pao ex lists I've seen in Destined Rivals ran these cards, so when I tried it out, it actually works fairly well. Petrel can find Secret Box, the ACE SPEC of choice, which mainly functions as this Deck's Engine as it can find your TR's Factory, an Item Card, a Supporter Card, and a Tool Card like TM: Evolution which can be really helpful on your First Turn. Petrel is quite helpful as it can find any Trainer Card and then you can Draw 2 Cards from it as a bonus which is quite nice. Furthermore, Revavroom comes as your Draw Engine as it replaces Bibarel but you Draw 6 instead of 5 and you discard an Energy from Hand. Anyways, when you get your Chien-Pao ex and Baxcalibur established, you should be able to consistently swing for decent amounts of damage due to being able to Recover the Energy with Superior Energy Retreival. Regigigas helps against your Tera Deck matchups like Pult, Zard, and so on and Ditto helps get out a Pokémon (When in the Active) you need in the Early Game which is quite helpful. Iron Hands ex is really helpful in the Early Game due to Amp being able to take an Extra Prize and especially helps against Single Prizers focused decks like Festival Lead. Furthermore, Wellspring Ogerpon helps as a way to have a good Snipe Attacker later on in the game or in the Early Game assuming uour Opponent doesn't have Shaymin or Rabsca in play. Brock's Scouting helps get out your Basic Pokémon or an Evolution Pokémon which is only really helpful in the Early Game and Judge serves as Early Game Disruption. That's all for the strategy section so feel free to make any changes or to leave any suggestions!

Matchups: This deck struggles quite a bit in this Format but it can succeed if played correctly.

Gardy: You'll probably lose this matchup quite oftenly but you should try to take down their Single Prize Attackers when you can but do also try to prioritize taking down their Gardevoir ex to shut off their Engine but that's only reall possible using your only Boss's Orders or by Flipping Heads on Pokémon Catcher and their Munkidori's are also quite annoying to face against. Though, if you decided to add in Iron Hands ex, this matchup becomes a bit more favorable. Just try to pull of consistent Attacks with Chien-Pao ex and Brock's Scouting will help if they Item-Lock you with Budew (Assuming Budew is ran).

Pult: It is quite hard to win this matchup as well, though, since they typically play slowly, try to get rid of their Dreepy's with Wellspring Ogerpon, Budew will be quite annoying so Brock's Scouting helps yet again in this matchup. If they run Zard, that just makes winning a bit harder. Also, Dusknoir + Phantom Dive can literally just Nuke your Baxcalibur so be really careful when having Baxcalibur in play sometimes. Hands could probably be a bit helpful here to take 2 Prizes from Single Prizers. Try to get out Regigigas to be able to OHKO Pult.

Raging Bolt: This matchup is a bit unfavorable especially if you're going first, so try and get second and try to Establish your Baxcalibur and Revavroom's as soon as you can. Wellspring isn't really needed here but the Sob Lock on Noctowl or something else could be a bit helpful. Chien-Pao should be able to OHKO Teal Mask and Raging Bolt fairly easily so this isn't as unfavorable as the other matchups but Raging Bolt does the same thing by Discarding Energy from your Pokémon but it's any type and does 70 more damage instead of 60 so it's just a way better version of Chien-Pao ex.

Marnie's Grimmsnarl: Try and use Wellspring to snipe their Impidimp's and adding in Iron Hands ex into the field is also probably a good idea due to Amp You Very Much being able to take 2 Prizes off their Single Prizers. Marnie's Grimmsnarl will be quite difficult to OHKO due to it requiring 6 Energies needing to be Discarded to OHKO it but getting the Energies out might take a bit since Chien-Pao gets two out which will be your primary resource of getting it out from your deck.

Eevee Box: This is probably one of your only Favorable Matchups due to Flareon being weak to your Water Pokémon, use Hands to clear their Noctowl's and get 2 Prizes from it, Sylveon will be quite annoying due to Angelite so just be careful against that.

Gholdengo: This is quite unfavorable but try and Snipe their Pokémon with Wellspring, try and Amp their Gimmighoul's earlier on as well and try to evolve your Varoom and Frigibax/Arctibax to Revavroom and Baxcalibur as soon as possible, Chien-Pao can OHKO Gholdengo fairly easily, but Gholdengo can also easily OHKO Chien-Pao as well. Gholdengo is yet again just another better version of Chien-Pao especially since it discards any Energy from Hand. Anyways, try to use Judge or Iono if added from CTC to get rid of their Energies.

Joltik Box: Try to prevent them from going second, though overall this matchup is quite odd. Chien-Pao can easily OHKO most of their Pokémon besides a Full HP Pikachu ex due to Resolute Heart, but they also have a way to easily OHKO your Pokémon as well.

N's Zoroark: Try and snipe their bench assuming they don't have Shaymin or Rabsca. Anyways, you can try and use Hands's Amp on their Pokémon that they use for Night Joker but the 1 Copy of Boss makes it a bit difficult to do that, and Chien-Pao can OHKO Zoroark decently quickly if you get set up properly.

Toedscruel, Ogerpon: I haven't played much against this deck but it is quite difficult. Just try and Amp their Toedscool's or to Snipe one with Wellspring, and Chien-Pao  struggles a bit due to Superior Energy Retrieval and Night Stretcher becoming useless due to the Single Prize Toedscruel, their Attacks can easily OHKO your Pokémon as well.

Cynthia's Garchomp: Yet again another deck I haven't faced much against with Chien-Pao, but try and  Amp their single prizes earlier on but be careful using it as well due to Garchomp hitting it for weakness. Wellspring's Snipe Attack will be quite useful in this matchup unless Shaymin is ran. Chien-Pao needs a lot of Energy to OHKO a 400 HP Garchomp which is 7 total which is quite hard to have in play sometimes.

Zard: This matchup is a bit difficult at times so try and Amp their Pidgeot ex to catch them off guard. Chien-Pao needs about 6 Energies to Discard in order to OHKO Zard but you can just use Regigigas to OHKO Zard. Budew's Item-Locking is quite annoying (if ran) but Brock's Scouting and TM: Evo helps against that.

CTC: The cards will be sorted in a list with a brief description and if there are any cards you want to add in whether that be from here or from any cards you want to personally add, just cut out the cards you don't like.

With that being said, here's the list:

- Iron Bundle - Great Early Game gusting option.

- Budew - Great Early Game stall especially due to Itchy Pollen.

- Latias ex - Gives your Basic Pokémon free retreat.

- 2-4 Arven's - Great way to find your Item Cards and your TM: Evolution's but if you run 4, you should probably add in a few other Tool Cards.

- 2 Iono's - Great Disruption choice and should probably be added but if you add one in, cut Judge.

- 2nd Boss's Orders - I might add in this change myself but it provides more Gusting options and consistency.

- 2nd TM: Evolution - Provides better consistency.

- 2nd Night Stretcher - Brings more Recovery Options.

- Counter Catcher - Alternative to Pokémon Catcher.

- Prime Catcher - Alternative to Secret Box and is a great Gust Option but don't keep Petrel and the other Cards related to TR due to Secret Box being gone.

- 2 Artazon - Better if you don't run TR's Factory and run Prime Catcher instead.

- Defiance Band - Allows you to deal more damage easily with Chien-Pao, especially when behind on prizes.

- Bravery Charm - Makes your Basic Pokémon a bit Tankier.

That concludes all the cards I could suggest to add in so have a good day and I hope this description could help!

Edit #1: Removed 1 TM: Evolution for a 3rd Ultra Ball. This change was made due to running 3 Ultra Ball's total is much better.

I apologize if the description is too long or complex at all.

LimeLemon Oh right I forgot about the Revavroom line being used as the Draw Engine, this list seems quite interesting as well, nice work!

Waffle Enthusiast Thank for your for feedback! Also, yeah it's sometimes forgotten about to be used in some decks but it is quite helpful.
