Clay and Claws

"To win with honor, you must first dance on the razor-edge of total annihilation."

After countless grueling trials and meticulous tuning, the dragon has finally broken its chains. Clay and Claws is a high-stakes, finely tuned machine built to frustrate opponents and rule the board. The strategy revolves around hiding your apex predator as Fraxure on the bench; its Unnerve ability completely shuts down Boss’s Orders and Counter Catchers, keeping your lines safe until you are ready to evolve into Haxorus and sweep.

When opponents bring forth massive, high-health evolution threats that Haxorus cannot one-shot, the ancient Claydol awakens as your ultimate giant-slayer. Equipped with a Brave Bangle, Claydol punches far above its weight class to secure crucial knockouts, even if it means claiming just a single prize card for the feat. Orchestrating this battlefield is Mega Latios. While he stands as your ultimate savior—softening up targets with a 40-damage sting, tanking lethal blows, and executing dramatic retreats into Dunsparce—his heroic utility comes at the steep price of being a massive prize-card liability if caught out of position. Meanwhile, Dunsparce remains your silent backstage anchor, aggressively drawing cards while retaining your vital chess pieces safely on the bench.

How to Play

* The Waiting Game: Keep your Haxorus at the stage 1 Fraxure phase on the bench until you are 100% ready to attack, completely immune to your opponent's gusting cards.
* The Latios Gambit: Use Mega Latios to absorb huge hits meant for Haxorus, then pivot-switch him into Dunsparce to escape indefinite doom and refresh your hand.
* Armored Aggro: Slap Brave Bangle onto Claydol to maximize its single-prize trade potential, and heavily shield your dragons with Thick Scale and Berries (alt cards) to outlast the opponent's counterattacks.
