To take advantage of Coalossal's acceleration. The attackers each have at least 1 C energy in their attack costs, so R energy works pretty nicely.

Wouldn't been better to have ultra ball instead of great ball since can discard energy from hand? Also, i think this deck could benefit from various changes: - Lowering Sandaconda amount and adding galarian zapdos for the free retreat and strong legs ability, plus it helps sirfetch easier. - A couple of bosses instead of too many sonias/marnies. If you drop sandacondas entirely, pus some other card, you might even benefit from the new Roaring resolve Lucario. Interesting idea, nonetheless.

This deck was made in the SSH-FST format. Some cards had not existed yet, so this deck isn't up to date. If I decide to revisit this archetype, I'll upload a new deck.
