Deck Primer

My first homemade deck and first deck ever as a Pokemon player (coming from years as a Magic player). I used no resources, no guides, no polls, or anything with the construction of this deck. I just read the cards and explored my massive bulk boxes to see what I could find (while searching in only the Mega Evolution block).

My first homemade deck and first deck ever as a Pokemon player (coming from years as a Magic player). I used no resources, no guides, no polls, or anything with the construction of this deck. I just read the cards and explored my massive bulk boxes to see what I could find (while searching in only the Mega Evolution block).

Goal - To deny resources to the opponnet and SLOW down game play to a pace you dictate. While removing energy, you are also dictating what Pokemon you are fighting....NOT your opponent. With Keldeo's "shoot through", you begin picking off bench Pokemon at will. Then with Pokemon Catcher, Lisia's Appeal, and Boss's Orders you decide which Pokemon you want to fight. The best way to do that is with Delibird. Let the Opponent tell you what their plan is or which Pokemon they want to pump up by using his ability to place 3 energy on both yours and their Pokemon. Once they indelibertly tip you off, you then use Lisia's Appeal or Boss's orders to bring them in, Crushing Hammer to deny energy, and begin chipping away at their plan while maintaining the tempo you decide.
Night Stretcher, Great Haul Net, and Poke Pad with Dusk Ball keep your graveyard small and allows you to bring the dead back to life once again; especially your energy is you use your tactical "Nuke" in Veluza. You have many engines designed to keep your energy flowing and moving around (Keldeo once again), while denying your opponnent energy while dictating the tempo; while they also inadvertantly tip you off to their plan so you can smash it.
