Why is onix in this deck?

While playing I found I needed a couple more pokemon to avoid the need to redraw my hand. I decided it would be best to use a "tank" in case it ended up being my first out. This onix can use the colorless energy to get a 50% chance of not taking damage and is only one prize card if taken out. That was my logic at least lol
