Unironically this isn't that bad.

Cut all metal saucer, cut 2 or 3 professor's letter (leave 1 or two for Green's exploration), cut 4 energy. Durant needs only 1 energy, so no need for acceleration. Considering you have night stretcher, you can afford to cut a lot of energy to make space for speed and consistency.

Yes I understand the need for Hisuian heavy, but 2 should be more than enough. Most likely there will only be 1 Durant in prizes, and in rare cases 2, both made more consistent with Green's exploration.

Needs counter catcher. You will be behind in prizes after the opponent's first KO on a non dew durant, and catcher can help stall if the price is right.

You should be running Mew fates collide. It can use durant's attack without losing a Durant on KO, which makes recovery a lot easier.

Personally, I would run Silent Lab or PTTP since the nature of mill benefits from control, and the slower the opponent is, the better. Artazon does have it's benefits though, you decide. Just putting that out there.

This is a big improvement from what I'm used to from you. Nice Job. Keep cooking.

Battle Compressor  wow thanks xD

I actually wonder if cutting my opponent's abilities would be better, or just letting them use them because anything that gets them to draw more of their own cards helps me, so if they're trying to use a draw engine ability then stopping them would only be to my own detriment...

Besides with Lana's fishing rod I want Artazon to help consistently pull out the Durant again if it's killed, though to be fair it might just be a glorified Nest ball after a while haha.

Would a battle Compressor be good to toss extra heavy balls if it turns out I don't need them anymore?

Also I don't know what PTTP stands for

Battle Compressor  wouldn't the mew disable Green support? I know you could play green first and then put mew in play, like for recovery every time mew dies, but that's why I was shying away from any bench barriers in the first place, I just wanted to prioritize using Green for the consistency

PTTP is Path to the Peak (Chilling Reign)

No that not how mill works. Yes, it does benefit you if they draw more cards, but it would benefit you GREATLY if you are able to make those cards useless by milling them instead of letting the opponent use them. No toss out the battle compressors (I like the mentality tho)

Battle Compressor  ok so should I do Artazon as well or just scrap it entirely? Also between PTTP and Silent Lab, I feel like blocking the stronger abilities from rule box mons is the better play, right?

Yeah like I said, choosing between Ability Lock and Artazon is kinda subjective and it's your choice. Personally I would run the ability lock bc when using mill, the worst thing that can happen is the opponent setting up quickly. Though you could always include 2 of each if it suits your fancy bc lock is better for early game(more helpful bc you rly need to slow then down bc expanded decks are crazy fast) and Artazon is better for the long run.

Also yeah, personally I prefer PTTP over Silent Lab bc stopping Lugia's ability is nasty, as well as Electrode GX(I fing HATE THAT CARD)

Also bro just a side note, I only comment on decks that either have potential or are well built enough for me to dedicate my time to.

This is currently your best built deck (close to being OPTIMIZED which is crazy). Which is why I decided to comment suggestions on it. My silence on any others indicates that the deck needs needs a bit too much work. Also I don't care abt the power level of the deck at all. It can be as weak of an archetype and I don't give a f. I only care abt how optimized it is. Like I would much rather prefer to see a Mega Alakazam(ASS) decklist thats well built than a Lugia Vstar(STELLAR) deck that's poorly built. So keep cracking. I do see improvement, but it would be even more if you would put more effort into quality over quantity of decks. So that more of your decks can be like this one.

Excited to see what you can do as you get better at the game. Some quick tips to get better fast.

1. Watch old videos of expanded gameplay, even ones on 2019 aren't too old. They tend to know most of the core strategies and the basics of deckbuilding very well. Some examples include LittleDarkFury, DarkIntegralGaming, TrickyGym, ForTheWinTCG, and many more. (Hey why don't I start a youtube channel? uh... bc you don't have any time in your life. Oh Crap ur right)

2. Look at the site Limitlesstcg.com, they have lots of tournament level decks. However, some of the top decks have won by dumb luck and some 15th-60th placers might have more optimized builds, so I wouldn't rely too much on those.

3. Look on other PTCG media other than this site. This site could use lots of improvement, and the entire user base consists of complete bozos and "the others". Reddit people are typically pretty sweaty.

4. Obviously test Test TEST, you cannot understand how games will roll out if you don't. (unless you have played so much that you basically can predict how games will go inside your head) And not just against friends who are prob. worse than you, try going to local competitions, they have a link on the pokemon website that will give you a place to search for locals.

Those are only to name a few. You'd progress a lot faster with 1 or more of these 4, you'd also save others a whole lotta breath, especially gibbon, tangent, Paisley, to name a few. This site is not, and I repeat, IS NOT a good way to learn how to play the game.

Battle Compressor  Right. I know I have kind of been spamming a lot of decks, but it's mainly because I've just been having so much fun learning and theory crafting XD

Part of this process for me has mostly just been learning about new cards since I know next to nothing about what exists to begin with, what strategies have been tried, and what has proven to work. Watching videos of Expanded would probably be a good idea, yeah. TBH the only reason this one is any good is probably because I got lucky haha

But I REALLY appreciate the help. I probably won't be making as many decks for a while, especially since I gotta pivot a bunch of my freetime towards pokedex completion on HOME to get that new Shiny Meloetta XD (Most of my pokemon are from older games and APPARENTLY don't count towards it unless I caught them in Scarlet/Violet) But I will be watching some videos while I grind away haha

I added some basic energy retrieval because I found I was struggling to choose between using the stretchers for energy or the pokemon, and I found that 1 super rod is good if my opponent happens to be running Artazon as well (common at my table games, though I know this doesn't fit most meta) since it lets me sustain more easily.

The deck definitely struggles winning after the first time, as if my opponent's know what's up its not really hard for them to just focus down building up as little as possible to conserve their own card draw. I never attack them, so they often can kill me with an unevolved pokemon with even a weak attack so long as it hits that 70hp threshold, so a 40 base power fire pokemon can just sit and outpace me with one shots. In fact they sometimes can just power up 1 attacker all the way and it's just enough to win.

That said, it's very dependant on the power level of the deck I'm fighting.

Also whenever my life dew gets prized or hit with lost vac I am sad 😔

Captivating Poke Puff or Accompanying Flute could enable Counter Catcher if my opponent is holding out on basic pokemon that I could gust into active to help stall...
