Deck Primer

This is another commonly played Dragapult build but it is kind of odd and may arguably be better than the Dusknoir Build.

Strategy: I don't really want to explain the BDIF but I still will. Anyways, this is a much slower approach to Dragapult hence why there are no Rare Candies in this deck. Like any other Pult deck, basically go second to item-lock them with Budew. Strategy: I don't really want to explain the BDIF but I still will. Anyways, this is a much slower approach to Dragapult hence why there are no Rare Candies in this deck. Like any other Pult deck, basically go second to item-lock them with Budew. Anyways, if you go first just avoid Budew being placed down as it's an easy KO for your Opponeng but if you start with Budew in the Active try and retreat with it. Now for your first turn, get out at least 2-3 Dreepy's, a Budew if you're going second, maybe Munkidori or Genesect, and probably attach an Energy onto a Dreepy and use Itchy Pollen or just pass if you're going first. Drakloak is your main source of Draw Power hence why it's a slower build combined with Budew, Munkidori, and Genesect. Munkidori helps move damage off of your Pokémon onto your Opponent's making KO's easier to get to and to prevent them from 2 Shotting or OHKOing. Since a couple of tools are being played, why not take advantage of Genesect to shut off their ACE SPEC's? Some other lists run Luxurious Cape but I personally don't find it worth it to use since giving up 2 Prizes when Genesect is KO'd is kind of odd but still you could add that in to this list. Furthermore, you'll likely use Itchy Pollen most of the time while setting up. Jacq can be replaced with Brock's Scouting but it helps get Pult and Drakloak out really quickly. Crispin helps get your Energy out as well, Energy Search should be self-explanatory. Now the ACE SPEC of choice, Unfair Stamp, is great at disruption and is by far the best choice for this deck but you could run Sparkling Crystal if that's what you'd prefer. I dislike that Pult works very well and has many builds but I will make an Iron Thorns and Pult Build sometime this week since it's not really seen much play since Stellar Crown.

I regret making another build for the best deck in the format but I decided to since it's quite better than the Dusknoir build.

LimeLemon This'll probably be the best way to play Pult when Psyduck releases as it nullifies that ability of Dusknoir but in Japan Pult fell off a bit but that might not happen in our format for Destined Rivals as that Psyduck promo doesn't have a confirmed release date.

LimeLemon avatar

Waffle Enthusiast It probably would but when that Psyduck does release, the players will probably adapt and some builds may still utilize Dusknoir since it's still a good card.
