Dragonite ex (Post-Rotation)

Strategy: Dragonite ex's Mighty Meteor has the potential to do 140-280 damage with a coin flip which isn't that good, however with the help of Dusknoir it can potentially finish off any Pokémon if it hits heads. However, if it flips tails, the single prize Dragonite's ability gives all your Pokémon free retreat so you can just switch into another Dragonite ex. Iron Hands ex is here since it plays Lightning Energy and can use Amp you Very Much to help against single prize

However, if it flips tails, the single prize Dragonite's ability gives all your Pokémon free retreat so you can just switch into another Dragonite ex. Iron Hands ex is here since it plays Lightning Energy and can use Amp you Very Much to help against single prize Pokémon. Additionally, since you're sacrificing prizes with Dusclops and Dusknoir, Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex can help as a late game attacker due to forcing them to take prizes. Defiance Band also works due to the Dusknoir Line allowing Bloodmoon Ursaluna to do 270 or for Dragonite to do 170 or 320. Grand Tree being the Ace Spec helps get Dragonite ex, Dragonite, or Dusknoir into play pretty quickly. Budew helps item-lock your opponent earlier on. If you don't like Grand Tree it can be flexed/replaced with Maximum Belt or something else like Sparkling Crystal. Crispin allows you to get energy onto Dragonite ex earlier on as well. Anyways, feel free to make any changes or leave any suggestions!

Summary: Dragonite ex can do 140-280 damage and can do 170-320 with Defiance Band, Dusknoir Line helps Dragonite do one shots, single prize Dragonite gives them all free retreat so if you flip tails go to another Dragonite ex. Grand Tree can be replaced with something else like Maximum Belt or Sparkling Crystal.

Matchups:

Charizard ex: Pretty odd Matchup, Budew does shut them off earlier on, though Dragonite cannot one shot Charizard unless you use Dusknoir onto it and flip heads. (I'd say the odds are about a 55/45, though it depends on your luck).

Dragapult ex: Defiance Band onto Dragonite and if you flip heads can one shot Dragapult. Although, Dusknoir + Bloodmoon and Defiance Band can also take down Pult. (I'd say the odds are about a 50/50 all depends on luck.).

Gardevoir ex: Iron Hands deals with this deck pretty easily, Dragonite + Defiance Band with flipping heads one shots Gardevoir or using Dusknoir to help, though the real threat is Lillie's Clefairy ex though you can just Bloodmoon it, or take it out with Dusknoir and Dusclops or Dusclops/Dusknoir with Dragonite or Dragonite ex. (I'd say the odds are about a 45/55)

Archaludon ex: If you flip heads and use something like Dusclops or Dusknoir, Dragonite ex can one shot Archaludon ex. Otherwise, Defiance Band and Flipping Heads can also one shot Archaludon ex. If they're the Hop's Zacian build the odds are about a 50/50, and the Poison Box is about a 60/40.

Raging Bolt ex: Flipping Heads with Dragonite ex can take down all of their Pokémon unless they run Bravery Charm or Ancient Booster Energy Capsule, otherwise Dusknoir helps take them down. Iono's Bellibolt build is about a 45/55, and the Teal Mask Build is about a 50/50.

Gholdengo ex: Yet again if you flip heads you can one shot Gholdengo, Dusknoir helps get rid of their dudunsparce's or Munkidori's, Dudunsparce ex also can get one shot if lucky, however if it's the Pult build it's a bit more difficult but prioritize their Dreepy's and Drakloak's. Normal build is a 45/55, Dudunsparce Build is a 50/50, and the Pult build is about a 55/45.

Miraidon ex: Pretty easy matchup, use Dragonite's coin flip to potentially one shot them all, however if they're running Magnezone ex like my build does then use Dusknoir to take them down though they probably won't use it, try to take out their liabilities as well like Mew, Fez, and squawk. Also, try to go second to slow them down even more by item-locking them. About a 35/65 for odds.

Budew Froslass Box: Low Medium Difficulty, avoid putting many ability Pokémon into play which is a low amount and try going second to stop an item-lock from Budew and item-lock them instead. Avoid Grand Tree if you want so they have less Froslasses otherwise it might not matter due to having no ability on Dragonite ex. The coin flip doesn't matter as they all get one shot. Odds are about 25/75.

N's Zoroark ex: Overall a fun matchup, Flipping Heads with Dragonite one shots Zoroark, use Dusknoir to take out the attackers, Bloodmoon is a last resort incase something happens causing your opponent to take the lead. About a 45/55 for the odds.

Wall Deck: Milotic ex counters Dragonite ex and the other walls make it this matchup a bit tougher. Use dusclops or Dusknoir to take down Mimikyu or the single prize Dragonite, Farigiraf ex is useless since Dragonite is a stage two. To get rid of Milotic ex, Bloodmoon with defiance band or assistance with Dusclops or Dusknoir deals with Milotic. Overall odds are about a 60/40.

Feraligatr: Hope you flip heads if they have cape on Feraligatr, use Dusknoir to get rid of Mimikyu, Munkidori, get some damage on Milotic, snipe a benched Pokémon that's low, or Relicanth. Milotic ex is the main threat but can be dealt with by what was stated on the wall deck or with the single prize Dragonite and Dusknoir. Overall odds are about 50/50.

Roaring Moon ex: Hope you flip heads to one shot their Pokémon, otherwise use Dusknoir to guranteed a knock out if you're worried about Tails. Since they're a turbo deck try to take second as well for the same reason as Miraidon. Take out their liabilities as well like Pecharunt, Fez, Squawk, and Mew. If they run Lillie's Clefairy ex like my build, Dusknoir and Dusclops or Bloodmoon with those previous stated buffs for it for late game deals with it. Overall odds are a 50/50.

PultZard: Pretty rough matchup, try to take down the Dreepy's, Drakloak's, and Charmanders earlier on. Don't let them target any liabilities. Bloodmoon might help later on for the late game. Overall a 55/45 and it depends a lot on luck.

Terabox: Also a rough matchup, Wellspring sob lock is risky, Dusknoir can help deal with Clefairy ex or the other counters for it as previously mentioned. Target the liabilities if possible, also, try to ruin Pikachu from getting Resolute Heart with Dusclops or Dusknoir. This matchup also depends on luck for flipping heads. Overall odds are about 60/40.

Chien-Pao ex: Take down their Baxcalibur's avoid Regigas, hope you flip heads with Dragonite ex. Hands can deal with their single prizers and give you extra Prize Cards also you could try and Amp you Very Much Chien-Pao by weakening them with Dusknoir for 3 prizes. Overall odds are about a 45/55.

Hydreigon ex: The brawl of two Pseudo Legendaries, try to take down their Pidgey's and Deino's earlier on, also Grand Tree is pretty risky. Try and avoid your one prizers on the bench to avoid an obsidian. Try and hope you can flip heads and use Dusknoir to help KO Hydreigon. Use Bloodmoon for the late game as well.
