Early Brilliant Stars decklist for Arceus VSTAR, paired with Dragonite V. This is an untested draft version of the decklist, so some of the card counts are going to be questionable (suspicious if you like). If you have any constructive feedback, please leave them in the comments section down below, I would really appreciate it :)

The following cards are proxies:
Tapu Lele-GX = Lumineon V

Double Colourless Energy = Double Turbo Energy
Arceus XY = Arceus V
Arceus Lv. X = Arceus

Double Colourless Energy = Double Turbo Energy
Arceus XY = Arceus V
Arceus Lv. X = Arceus VSTAR

General deck strategy: Going second, use Arceus V to power up a turn 2 Dragonite V. Lumineon + Piers help search out Double Turbo Energy, so that Arceus V can use Trinity Charge on turn 1. Choice Belt + Leon help Dragonite V reach 310 damage, enough to KO a Mew VMAX. Set up the second Dragonite V using Melony if possible.

Will be writing an article on this deck once testing is completed (hopefully within 2-3 weeks), stay tuned!

EDIT: Updated the decklist! Thanks to everyone who commented for your contributions :)

I think this is an interesting deck idea with a lot of potential. I would cut a great ball to add another arceus vstar, since it can accelerate energy, while also doing enough damage to knock out crobat v and genesect v. I would cut the crobat and add a boss for the ko with arceus vstar. Aside from that I think that this decklist looks good.

Maybe teching in a single dunsparce for fighting type pokemon?

Hello RyDawg and Bappo, thank you very much for your suggestions! @RyDawg: I originally used Arceus for energy acceleration only, but now that you mentioned it, Arceus makes a good attacker too! Will definitely test out the extra VSTAR. However, I'm a little more reluctant to cut the Crobat; it helps with additional draw since we play Piers. Do you think there are any other cards we could cut? @Bappo: Yep, I think Dunsparce could work especially in a fighting-type heavy meta (many Urshifu VMAXes) Once again, thanks to everyone for their comments! Much appreciated :)

Another suggestion is maybe 1 copy of bird keeper so you can search it out with luminion

You could possibly cut a great ball, because you have ultra ball and quick ball. You may not even need any great ball. Let me know what you think.

@Bappo that's an interesting idea, bird keeper does provide an emergency switching option! My main concern is that bird keeper might not be worth using the supporter slot for the turn; since we have stronger supporters like Melony/Leon/Research. Will definitely consider it though :) @RyDawg I think so too! I included the Great Ball to more easily get off the T1 Trinity Charge (on Arceus V), but 14-15 Pokemon search cards is probably too excessive. Great Ball is honestly quite unreliable too... On another note, I tried testing with Arceus VSTAR as an attacker. The issue is that I often can't find Arceus VSTAR, and I'm seriously thinking of playing 1-2 Evolution Incense. What are your thoughts? Thanks again to everyone for the ideas! Love the lively discussion :)

I think that the evolution incense would be a good card for that extra great ball spot. Looking at the list, I don't think you would need 4 stormy mountains. That could be another spot to add an incense. Also might want to drop a leon, and add a melony. I say this because you should be hitting good numbers already with the choice belt.

Hi RyDawg, thanks again for sharing your thoughts! I included the Leon so that

Hi RyDawg, thank you for sharing your thoughts! I included the Leon so that Dragonite would be able to hit 310 (with Choice Belt + Leon). This would allow it to one-shot Mew VMAX, which is an extremely dominant deck. Additionally, the Choice Belt + Leon combo is searchable by Arceus VSTAR :) I included 4 Stormy Mountains because Path to the Peak is very dangerous for this deck. If Path to the Peak is active, this deck will have trouble pulling off the Lumineon -> Piers -> Double Turbo Energy combo, and thus lack the energy required to attack. As such, I think there's a need for stadium counterplay in this deck. That being said, I'm not sure if Stormy Mountains is the best way to deal with Path; if you have any other suggestions, please feel free to voice them here! Edit: I've updated the deck, thank you very much @Bappo and @RyDawg for all the ideas!

I think that the new deck is looking much better. I may be using this online when brilliant stars comes out!

@RyDawg the deck improvements wouldn't have been possible without your input! I hope the deck works as intended to XD
