Ice rider hits hard, but can fall a little short vs. 3 prizers (not enough damage) and 1 prizers (bad prize race). This deck attempts to remedy these issues using dewgong's dual blizzard attack, which does 60 damage (90 with telescopic sight) to two of your opponents pokemon. Dual blizzard can take multiple prizes against small pokemon and with a sight attached can set up two vmax's to be KO'd by max lance.

This deck makes use of triple acceleration energy (TAE), which provides 3 energy to an evolved pokemon but is discarded at the end of your turn. This is the only effective means of powering up dewgong, but ice rider calyrex can also use it pay for it's first attack or to be discarded by it's second attack, leaving it powered up for next turn.

I chose a rulebox based draw engine to conserve deck space, give better early turn consistency, and to potentially discard water energy for melody.

dewgong is stopped cold (ba-dum tss) by mew, I dunno, I guess you hope they discard it when they see we are playing IR calyrex? lol
