Deck Primer

The Duraludon VMAX deck focuses on using Duraludon VMAX's G-Max Pulverization attack, which does 220 damage. Duraludon VMAX's Skyscraper Ability is very good, you can prevent all damage from attacks from the opponent's Pokemon that have Special Energy attached. This is good against Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX, Mew VMAX, Single Strike Urshifu VMAX, and any deck that mainly focuses on using Special Energy to attack. Zacian V's Brave Blade attack is the best attack in this deck, but we only need to use Zacian V against decks like Zacian V/Zamazenta V and Suicune V/Ludicolo. We run 4 Crushing Hammer in this deck because it is very good against decks that only run a few Basic Energy cards so we can beat those decks easier. We also run 2 Flannery, which allows you to discard a Stadium in play and a Special Energy card from any of the opponent's Pokemon in play. We also run 3 Avery, which allows you to draw 3 cards and discard the opponent's Benched Pokemon until they have 3 on the Bench. Avery is really good against decks like Eternatus VMAX, Mew VMAX, and Suicune V/Ludicolo. We run 1 Tool Scrapper in this deck mainly for the Suicune V/Ludicolo and Zacian V/Zamazenta V matchups. We also run 4 Adventurer's Discovery in this deck so that we can get our Pokemon V in play and potentially get a Duraludon VMAX. We also run 2 Team Yell Towel, which allows both Active Pokemon to heal 50 damage. Since Duraludon VMAX can attack twice to KO any Pokemon, Team Yell Towel doesn't help the opponent's Active Pokemon as much as it helps our Active Pokemon. We also run 2 Sonia so that we can get our Basic Energy cards so that we can get off an Energy attachment for turn when we need to. The main strategy of this deck is to go first, have the Pokemon you need in the matchup you are against out in play, and Intrepid Sword if you can. On turn 2/turn 3 is when you start attacking. Attacking later than your opponent is not bad at all for this deck because this deck is more of a wall deck. I hope you enjoy this decklist!
