Deck Primer

Thank you to @Pe7son for suggesting me to create this deck! Also, it's supposed to be a mill deck but the more I built it, the more it became more of a Wall/Control deck.

Strategy: I strongly suggest going second with this deck. Anyways, during your First Turn, I'd suggest to get the following Pokémon out:

- 2 Dwebble

- 1 Munkidori

- 1 Budew or 1 Cleffa.

- Only bench Durant ex when it's in your hand to mill the top card of their Deck.

- Any other Pokémon that you wish to get out.

Getting out these Pokémon should be decently easy as you have Ultra Ball, Nest Ball, and Buddy-Buddy Poffin to find them. You can try and use Budew's Itchy Pollen, Cleffa's Grasping Draw, or Dwebble's Ascension during your First Turn. I will now move onto Pokémon Explanations.

Pokémon Explanations:

Durant ex is here to mill your Opponent, and can be a decent Endgame Attacker when your Opponent has taken most of their Prize Cards.

Crustle walls Pokémon ex and is your Primary Attacker. Cornerstone Mask (CM) Ogerpon ex walls Pokémon with Abilities.

Munkidori moves damage from your Pokémon and moves it onto your Opponent's Pokémon.

Budew item-locks your Opponent in the Early Game and Cleffa provides Draw Support with Grasping Draw.

Iron Thorns ex shuts off all Rulebox Pokémon's Abilities (excluding Future Pokémon), which helps with your matchup against Gardevoir ex.

I will now move onto the Trainer Card explanations.

Trainer Card Explanations:

Iono provides disruption, Xerosic's Machinations brings your Opponent's hand size down to 3 Cards, and Eri can discard up to 2 Item Cards from your Opponent's Hand. Turo's Scenario can reset your Durant ex so you can use Sudden Shearing again or any other Pokémon. Unfair Stamp, the ACE SPEC of choice, provides further Disruption when your Pokémon was KO'd during your Opponent's Last Turn. Luxurious Cape makes your Crustle a lot Tankier to go up to 250 HP total, with the drawback of giving up a 2nd Prize Card upon being KO'd by damage. FBEC gives Thorn free retreat so it doesn't get trapped in the Active Spot. TR's Watchtower shuts off all Colorless Pokémon's Abilities which helps against decks that run Fan Rotom, Noctowl, or Squawkabilly ex. This card also helps against Eevee Box. Town Store helps you search your deck for Tool Cards.

This concludes the Trainer Card Explanations, so I will move onto basic combos you can perform.

Combos:

Counter Catcher to gust up a Pokémon (when behind on prizes) + Iono or Unfair Stamp.

Boss's Orders to gust up a High Retreat Cost Pokémon, then use Unfair Stamp to lower their hand size down to 2.

Turo's Scenario to remove Durant ex to put it back into your hand, to then bench Durant ex again.

Night Stretcher to recover a Durant ex from the Discard Pile to then Bench Durant ex.

This concludes the strategy section, so feel free to make any changes, ask almost any question, or to leave any suggestions!

CTC: The cards that I'd recommend to add into this deck as an alternative for you to try out or try to fit your preferences will be sorted into a list with a brief description for every card. If there any cards here or from your own thoughts/ideas that you'd wish to add into this deck, cut out any cards that you don't find too useful. With this being stated, here is the list:

Pokémon:

- 3rd Durant ex - Provides better consistency.

- 3 TM Ogerpon ex's - Provides Draw Support, you'd probably have to make major adjustments to this deck by making the Control parts of this deck gone.

- 2-1-2 Pidgeot ex Line - Searches your deck for any card, for you to then add it into your hand.

- 1 Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex - Helps as an Endgame Attacker.

- 2nd Budew - Alternative to Cleffa.

Trainer Cards:

- 1-2 more Arvens - Self-explanatory.

- 4th Iono - Self-explanatory.

- 1-2 Pennies - Alternative to Turo's Scenario or to have more ways to mill with Durant ex.

- 1 more Turo's Scenario - Lets you reset Durant ex even further to mill further.

- 1 Earthen Vessel - Searches for Energy Cards.

- 1 more Pokégear - Makes finding Supporter Cards even easier.

- Secret Box - Alternative ACE SPEC of choice.

Energies:

- 6 total Grass Energies - Useful for a more focused build with TM Ogerpon ex.

- 1 Jet Energy - Brings the Pokémon you attached it to into the Active Spot.

- 1-2 Luminous Energies - Since a weird amount of Energy is ran in this deck, Luminous Energy can help cover that.

This concludes the CTC (Cards to Consider) section, I hope you can find this description helpful. Anyways, do whatever you want with this deck and have a good day!

Edits:

Edit #1: Leaned in a bit further towards a Control Build, 1 Dwebble, 1 Crustle, 1 Iono, 1 TR's Watchtower, 1 Buddy-Buddy Poffin, 1 Durant ex, 1 Air Balloon, and 1 Ultra Ball were cut, they've been replaced with a 3rd Pokégear, 1 Handheld Fan, 1 TM: Turbo Energize, 3rd Pokégear, 3rd Munkidori, 2 Mist Energies, 1 Town Store, and 1 Super Rod.

Edit #2: Cut out 1 Turo's Scenario, 1 Pokégear, 1 Super Rod, and 1 Basic Grass Energy. They've been replaced for 1 Iron Thorns ex, 1 FBEC (Future Booster Energy Capsule, 1 Basic Lightning Energy, and a 3rd Crispin. These changes have been made to make this deck a bit better.

Pe7son The deck you suggested me to make has been finished! I apologize that this deck isn't that great, it's just really weird to build a deck with it.

theovy avatar

Don't you need either more energy, or more ways to grab energy from discard? Why not throw in some colorless energy to help?

LimeLemon avatar

theovy I will add in Speical Energy then, thank you for the feedback!

theovy avatar

LimeLemon i would follow something similar to this:

https://pokemoncard.io/deck/crustle-munkidori-bb-and-wf-131368

also, look on the limitless site for some of the top tournament winners lately. There have been some crustle decks winning tournaments lately

LimeLemon avatar

theovy This whole deck isn't a Crustle and Munkidori deck, this deck was suggested by Pe7son saying they wanted me to create a Durant ex deck, I already have my own Crustle and Munkidori deck that I plan to release eventually. Thank you for your feedback though.

LimeLemon this deck is very hard to build, it's all right!

Bnt avatar

You could probably also have a funny combination with Durant ex and the great tusk that discards up to 4 cards from the Opponent's Deck

deckdex avatar

If you can find space for iron thorns and a future booster capsule that would cover the gardevoir matchup the best, maybe instead of booster a latias could work

LimeLemon avatar

deckdex That's probably a good idea, also Latias ex's Ability would get shut off by Iron Thorns so FBEC is required for Thorns. Thank you for the suggestion!
