Deck Primer

Current WIP for a rapid strike deck using the cards I have available on TCGO. Any advice on what to add/change is appreciated! 


Edit 1: Replaced copycat for Shauna to eliminate relying on opponent's hand for a good redraw 

Edit 2: Removed 1 capacious bucket and 1 water energy. Added rapid strike Remoraid/Octillery for support through ability.

Edit 3: Replaced 1 water energy for another rapid strike energy.

Edit 4: Oh look another water energy is gone! Added a second Blanche.

Edit 5: Mustard is a great card but I'm removing it to make way for Rapid strike scrolls. Also Swapped a wash energy for Swirl to make it easier to set the scrolls up

Edit 6: been a while since I updated here, but I've done a rather big overhaul of the number of pokemon and trainers. it's now easier to get energy with another bucket and Candice, Irida and the pokegears allow you to draw required trainer cards, and Adding another Octillery really brings together the rapid strike side of the deck. the scrolls didn't provide enough benefit so were removed, I tried a Dodrio V for a while but while it benefitted from being a colourless rapid strike mon, the self-damage made it too difficult to use alongside the rest of the pokemon. And a 4th Empoleon means that it's easy to set up multiple mons and continue delivering big hits. 

 

I'm also building this deck irl, with hopes of it being my first physical deck, that can be used a little before the inevitable set rotation when Sc/Vi sets arrive. Wish me luck!
