Deck Primer

This is the deck that I use to grind out VS ladder to get all my points on the TCG Online game. Most people quit half way through the game.

Mawile is the ideal starter. I always try to go second to use supporters and give them a chance to put on an energy I can remove without them attacking me. I use crushing hammer or flare grunt in first round to try and remove their energy, then use Find a Friend to get either Zacian or Tornadus out.

Then 2nd round with 2 energy on Mawile I use her attack

Mawile is the ideal starter. I always try to go second to use supporters and give them a chance to put on an energy I can remove without them attacking me. I use crushing hammer or flare grunt in first round to try and remove their energy, then use Find a Friend to get either Zacian or Tornadus out.

Then 2nd round with 2 energy on Mawile I use her attack to keep removing energy for the next few rounds until they run out, peppering in trainer cards where needed. I also try and suit Mawile with a horned helmet as soon as possible, even in round 1 to set them back on attaching.

If they have a 4+ cards in their hand and I didnt need a supporter to remove energy (like if Mawile is gonna handle it), I use team skull grunt and often find special energy hiding in their hand that they weren't ready to use yet. I use VS Seekers usually for team skull grunt and team flare grunt most often.

The coins are for Tornadus to help his attack do more damage. Tornadus and Salazzle are there for the GX attack to wipe out all energy from 1 pokemon they've built up on the bench, using Lysandre or Guzma to pull them out before they expect it.

Aegislash is just there go give 30 damage reduction. I often find it hard to get him established without pulling him from Zacian or Mawile's Find a Friend. If you were gonna edit the deck, he could be the first to go.

This deck doesnt perform well against decks that have insane energy acceleration such as most fire decks because they often build up energy too fast to pace them, and with fire in particular, all of the metal pokemon in this deck are weak to fire. This deck also doesnt have any means of dealing with prism stadiums Ive noticed since field blower and Flannery cant effect them.
