This deck is too close to Standard for an Expanded deck. You have 2 ideal options with that being said.
-Cut the battle vips for buddy-buddies and then you have a Standard deck!
Or,
-Follow these instructions and you will have a perfect Expanded deck.
-Cut all four Valiants for a 2-2 Garbodor line. (The attacking one and the ability lock one.) You need this for a late-game attacker AND ability lock. The reason is that if this is good and wins most games, you'd expect not for your opponent to have many Energies on the boad. So the attacking Garbodor is good late-game because it's attack does 20 damage for each item card in your opponent's discard pile. Knowing you have the Ability lock, your opponent is bound to play a bunch of Item cards. Garbodor can easily do over 300 damage with ease!
-I understand Jet Energy is for moving your Valiants to the Active Spot, but as you will be removing it, you dont need it. You can play something like Guzma or Teammates or any overall GOOD expanded trainer card. Maybe even VS seeker (which probably more than 99% of Expanded decks these days play) for retrieving your supporters.
-You should replace both Bosses for 2 Guzmas. You need it as a generic switch card when you want to preserve Energies early-game. And it can get you out of a situation where the board state is entirely one-sided. The problem is it's a supporter, so if you really don't want it, only play 1 and maybe a second super rod or something. I understand you have Switch Cart, but that wont do you good when also your OPPONENT needs some switching.
-Don't play Future Booster Energy Capsule. You aren't playing Valiant anymore, so it is completely useless. By now, there should be enough space in the deck for a couple Float Stones if you remove 3 Researches and your Ionos. Float stone gives free retreat to ANY pokemon.
-You need a draw engine, so maybe play Fezandipiti ex and/or Oricorio GX for a nasty 6 cards drawn if your opponent takes a KO! Also, this can force your opponent to gust-knock them in a pinch, leaving your Espathras on the board for more turns because you only play 2.
- 2 Espathras is enough, but you NEED more flittles in spite of its 40 HP. Maybe 3 or even 4! is good so your opponent won't lose you your chance to get both Espathras on the board.
-You can play the new Milotic, so if your opponent forgets to be picky about attaching there energies, (which frankly, they always have to no matter the matchup) there's no scooping them up back into there hand.
Overall, this deck is not bad and would likely do well in an expanded tournament with the suggestions I gave you. I wrote this in a hurry, so that's only about HALF what I have to say about this! Don't mind me, I'm just trying to get this comment to 500 words. (lol) so anyway, Good deck, but more importantly, Good luck!!! (lol again)
I have been wanting this to be standard, thank you for the advice!
