My first take on Ethan's package, to be released in May with the Heat Wave Arena set. In my opinion, this has the potential to be the best trainer's package so far, or at least the most well designed. Gameplay wise, it's like a Chien-Pao ex deck on steroids. Once you set up your bench, you should easilly be able to hit at least 210 damage with Ethan's Magcargo every turn, and the 280 and 350 damage outputs are not so hard to reach, either. Ethan's Typhlosion and Ethan's Ho-Oh ex are good tech attackers, and Budew should help you get some time to set bigger attacks. For the Ace Spec of choice, Max Rod fits perfectly in here. The only real issue with this list is having a very hard time setting its engines quickly enough in some games, specially in the worst case scenario of getting an Ethan's Ho-Oh ex stuck in the active spot without any Surfer or Switch in your opening hand. Once it gets rolling though, this deck will be really scary to play against, with an endless supply of the best supporter card it could ever ask for and an 1 prize stage 1 pokémon that can OHKO anything in the format. The only hard counters for this deck that I can thing about right now are Iron Thorns ex and Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex, but you could increase the Ethan's Typhlosion line to a "3-3-2" and reduce the Ethan's Magcargo line to a "3-3", if needed.
