One of the main weaknesses of Tsareena ex is the large amount of Stage 2's it needs in order to be good. But what people don't realise is that there's a certain card out there that can get multiple stage 2's out very easily--Orbeetle! Evomancy is an excellent way to put Vanilluxe and Tsareena ex into play consistently, as well as some other Pokémon that are hard to work with, like Beautifly, which is just an upgraded Bibarel in this deck, and Pidgeot

I'm running Caitlin here to put unplayable Pokémon back into your deck in case you draw them, as well as Path to the Peak to annoy players. Unfortunately, there are no stage 2 damage spreaders, so you best option by then is to use Technical Machine: Devolution. Happy trolling!

I don't think you need panic mask if you're playing vanniluxe, you could play meowscarda to finish off Pokémon intread. Also, reversal energy can give you 3 energy when behind to find 3 stage 2's.

Marco_Ne I find Panic Mask to be a good fail-safe in case I can't get Vanilluxe, but I guess four is too much. I'll probably add Big Air Balloon in its place. Meowscarada might be good, but then I'll need to add options to cycle the energy back through, and I'll need to figure out what to remove. When adding it, I don't think that path is needed because I'm adding more of my own ability-based rule box Pokémon, so I might add town store there as well. I like the idea of reversal though.

This deck feels a little crowded. Maybe remove some grass energy for more trainers?

CountyGibbon798 avatar

Starmie23 I'll see what I can think of. By the way, why was your solution to the deck being too crowded to be adding more trainer variety?

CountyGibbon798 avatar

NoGoodNames Oh oops I ended up removing it in my actual build that I use in live, but not here lol. The original intent was for Orbeetle to get extra stage 2 mons or satsisfying retreat costs, but I ended up heavily reworking the list shortly after on live. I can edit this one soon, so good catch!

Isn't Omastar a Stage 2 damage spreader?

CountyGibbon798 avatar

eric Yeah, but it requires water energy, whereas Meowscarada ex requires basic grass for its ability, something which I have yet to add in this deck lol. Thanks though!
