Game Plan:

Early Game:

Use Drakloak’s “Setup Emission” to draw and search your board together. Prioritize getting multiple Dreepy down for evolution and thinning your deck with Buddy-Buddy Poffin and Ultra Ball. Aim to set up Alolan Exeggutor ex and get your first Tropical Frenzy online. The Sparkling Crystal helps gather the diverse energy types you’ll need for Swinging Sphere later. Start stacking energy onto benched Milotic ex or Dragapult ex while using TF to apply early pressure—150 is strong enough to KO many Basics and Stage 1s.

Drakloak (Twilight Masquerade)

Mid Game:

• You should have at least one Exeggutor attacking and your board set up with Milotic ex or Dragapult ex powered up. Use Swinging Sphere with multiple energy types to take out large threats or counter walls like Snorlax or Stage 2 decks. Milotic ex becomes important here as a high-HP option that benefits from Exeggutor’s acceleration and can tank hits while returning solid damage. Dragapult ex is great if you need to apply spread pressure or hit for Weakness against Psychic-weak decks. Use Boss’s Orders and Crispin to pick off evolving Pokémon or problematic support Pokémon on your opponent’s bench. Don’t forget Technical Machine: Evolution to force fast evolutions, especially useful for Dreepy into Drakloak.

Late Game:

        Super Rod and Iono help you recover pieces and disrupt your opponent’s hand. This is where Swinging Sphere can really shine—once you’ve gotten 3+ energy types onto Exeggutor, you’re hitting very high numbers. Use Cornerstone Ogerpon ex situationally for its powerful attacks and to pivot into unusual matchups or energy types. Maintain board control with Boss, and time Professor's Research to dig through your remaining deck when Iono isn't appropriate. Lean into whichever attacker your opponent is weakest to: Milotic for tank trades, Dragapult for spread control, or Ogerpon for burst damage.
