Recently, I've seen a ton of Creep Show Gengar decks pop up, so I thought that I should hop on the bandwagon! Recently, I've seen a ton of Creep Show Gengar decks pop up, so I thought that I should hop on the bandwagon! I got this idea from @IMakeGoodDecks and their Gengar deck, so be sure to check theirs out! Anyways, I made this deck to be more on the competeive side of the expanded format, but still simple enough for casuals to be able to play it. With this deck, you want to go second so you can play a supporter card, and immediately rush for a Horror House GX to set your opponent back a turn by locking them out of playing anything during their next turn. (Credit goes to @Deseus | Legacy of Wrath for this idea. I saw it when going over his decks, so thanks!) There are plenty of ways to do that, by either having Gengar & Mimikyu as your starting Pokemon and attacking that way, or using Switch Cart / Scoop-Up Net to get a different Pokemon out of the active. From there, you should be a turn ahead of your opponent, giving you free range to play Guzma & Hala to grab each of the tools you need to set up your Gengar and Iron Valian ex's to spread all the damage necessary to get an early Creep Show. Radiant Alakazam is there to fix any math from leftover damage counters or the likes. Girafarig can also disrupt your opponents by putting important trainers in the lost zone, or punish overaggressive Lugia VSTAR players by putting 2 Archeops in the lost zone. Depending on the list, that can severely set back their strategy or outright cripple it, so be mindful of when and when not to use Get Lost. Giratina is great as discard fodder, as when discarded, it can come back and spread some extra damage.

Again, this is a pretty rough idea, so please let me know what you'd change about this!

Would this deck benefit from Fog Crystal? I've been looking for a good Gengar deck for a while (it's my favorite card in the TCG) and this one looks pretty good. I'll have to try it out (except I have none of cards except Dedenne and Gengar line).

Tangent If you don't have Mysterious Treasure, Fog Crystal can serve as a fair replacement. I like Treasure because it can search for evolution Pokémon, and it has a discard condition. I guess you could replace the Cherish Balls with it, as all of the GX's in the deck other than Dedenne are able to be grabbed with Fog Crystal. So it really is just a matter of preference. Thanks though!
