Flareon's burning dream

But this last deck had a problem. Flareon didn't fit well with its siblings. So, I built a special deck only for it.

But this last deck had a problem. Flareon didn't fit well with its siblings. So, I built a special deck only for it. 

This is what I'd call a "do or die" deck. It's somewhat based on rng, but you're able to hit your opponent's Pokémon with up to 580 damage (my record was an overkill 540 damage on a Radiant Greninja, winning the game in a brutal fashion).

The strategy of the deck is pretty simple. Flareon V (SWSH Black Star Promos) accelerates Fire energy. Next turn you evolve into Flareon VMAX (SWSH Black Star Promos) and Max Detonate. Repeat.

Could you hit no energy and do 0 damage? Yes. But since the deck runs 25 energy cards (this would be about half your deck by the time you attack), it's highly unlikely your attacks will do no damage. And if it happens, your next attack will have a much higher chance of obliterating whatever your opponent has in their active spot.

Random Receiver (Dark Explorers) gets you Adventurer's Discovery (Fusion Strike), Boss's Orders (Shining Fates) or Welder (Unbroken Bonds) + your deck has 1 less non-energy card.

Boss's Orders (Shining Fates) does.. well.. Boss.. bring out the next target, or run from any water Pokémon in the active (for one turn, at least). 

Adventurer's Discovery (Fusion Strike) is awesome because it means you'll be able to evolve + have a backup Flareon + your deck now has 3 less non-energy cards.

Welder (Unbroken Bonds) gives you some draw, but most important, it helps you build Flareon quickly. With Elemental Badge (Evolving Skies), you don't even need to attach a third energy.

Single Strike Energy (Battle Styles) is very important in this deck because it allows you to knock out VMax Pokémon that have 310 or 320 HP. Attach two of those and you will OHKO literally any Radiant Pokémon with a single discarded energy and OHKO any VMax with up to 340 HP (for 3 discarded energy).

In addition, if your facing single prize decks, Flareon V (SWSH Black Star Promos) Schorching Column + burning damage should be enough.

And at last, but not least, if you're in danger of running out of cards in your deck, Volcarona V (Evolving Skies) can be a good backup attacker, bringing all your discarded 10+ fire energies to your deck and setting up that brutal 400+ Max Detonate. And of course, sm2-123 increases the probability of OHKO with Max Detonate.
