Playstyle Overview

Play as dynamically as possible by constantly rotating your Pokémon. Take full advantage of free retreat costs to stack passive damage, and use your Stadium as a psychological torture tool for opponents who aren't running Psychic-type decks.

Early Game:

Your primary focus is using Techno Radar to search for 2 Iron Valiant ex. Keep Mew (Mysterious Tail / 25th Anniversary) in the Active spot to dig for Techno Radar or Escape Rope. If you start with Guzma in hand, don't hesitate to drag the opponent's support Pokémon (like Ralts or Charmander) into the Active position while rotating your Valiant to place 2-4 damage counters before they even get a chance to evolve.

Mid Game:

Put Old Cemetery into play. In this phase, your opponent will be completely cornered. If they attach Energy, they take 20 damage. If they pass, you keep rotating your Valiant (Guzma -> Manual Retreat -> Jet Energy) to stack up damage. Drop Marnie the moment the opponent’s hand starts to look "healthy" to disrupt their setup. If your Valiant takes damage, use Acerola to scoop it up and put it back onto the Bench to reset its Ability.

Finisher:

Use Scramble Switch (ACE SPEC) as your ultimate surprise card. Shift all Energy from an ineffective Pokémon straight onto Iron Hands ex. With the damage buff from 3 Iron Crown ex on your Bench, your Amp You Very Much attack now hits for 180 damage (120 base + 60 buff). This is enough to KO most Basic Pokémon V or ex, allowing you to take 2-3 Prize cards at once to close out the game.
