Just Casually Digging a Hole

This is a remake of a previous deck I made before rotation, which I didn't think would get 20,000 views. This remake probably won't do the same thing, but that's ok.

With the new Drilbur to set u[ your energies in the discard, attacking with Garchomp's Hydro Lander has never been easier. To top things off, Drilbur even evolves into a decent single-prize attacker to help with Garchomp's two-hit KOs.

Besides that, not too much has changed about this deck. Two more experimental cards in here that I still need to test are Turo's Scenario, to remove bench liabilities like Rotom and Lumineon, or to scoop up a damaged Garchamp, and Double Turbo Energy, which lets you use Sonic Dive for a single attachment. You could probably make an argument for cutting them, though.

Feedback is welcome if you have any!

I really want Garchomp to be meta, and I saw a really cool version the other day. It still had excadrill, there was also 2 copies of fire energy, 2 of the new koraidon ex (with Kaiser tackle) and a radiant Charizard. It looks cool in theory.

EpicDudeC That actually sounds like a good idea, since Koraidon would help with higher health pokemon like Giratina and Charizard. Out of curiosity, do you remember what ACE SPEC card that list ran? I know that I'm running Prime Catcher here, but I'm wondering if Maximum Belt would be better so that Koraidon could one shot a Charizard ex. And if you don't remember what the deck had, that's fine too, since I might just run the belt anyways haha

Also, thank you for letting me know about that Garchomp variant :)

Ignore the fact that I accidentally just submitted a blank comment lol.

I believe it was Max Belt as the ACE SPEC, because like you said it allows for a ko on zard, but also I just remembered that it boosts excadrill to hitting good math and almost every basic ex.

EpicDudeC You're find for submitting a blank comment, I'm surprised that the site even lets people do that lol

Thanks for letting me know that it was Max Belt. I didn't even think about boosting Excadrill's attack with the ACE SPEC when I first made this, I was too focused on the fact that I thought I'd need gusting to potentially finish off a Tera Pokemon that Garchomp couldn't one-shot. Though, now that there's a better way to avoid some two-shots, then there's no reason not to run Max Belt it seems.

Thanks for the information, I might have to try and build this variant now.

I main Arc Tina so the 180 and 280 math is VERY familiar to me lol

AlphaNova avatar

EpicDudeC Yeah I can see how that would help you out haha

Really cool deck I like this archetype alot but it could use some updating. Do you want me to make this deck better?

I agree, this list is heavily outdated, so if you want to pick it up and personalize/improve it for yourself then go right ahead.
