Garchomp Toolbox

Garchomp ex is a very powerful card, it just needed the right tools and synergies to make it work. Iron Hands can pick apart single-prize decks, while Raging Bolt can hit for big numbers to close out. These attackers both need Lightning energy, making them extremely synergistic with each other. A unique quirk of Raging Bolt ex is that it doesn't need all of the Energy on itself to attack. With the power of Sada's Vitality, you can deliver huge Raging Bolt swings out of nowhere by spreading Hydro

The Matchups

Lugia is an okay matchup, but it's where Iron Hands really comes into play. With an Iron Hands, you can Boss KO one of their Archeops, or their Cincinno. If they only mannaged to put one Archeops into play, the game is easy. If they couldn't evolve into the VSTAR on turn two, you've basically won. You can swing with Iron Hands into a Lugia V, taking three prizes and building a lead from there. Once they evolve, take a KO on Cincinno with Garchomp, and finish it with a Raging Bolt onto the VSTAR. If they don't brick, it turns into a losing matchup, since they can one-shot your Garchomp. Charizard can be won with Raging Bolt, and you can also blow them out with a Pidgeot KO with Iron Hands. In Lost Giratina, you can easily win with Iron Hands and Raging Bolt adapting to any situation. A cool thing about this combo is that you can attach to Iron Hands expecting a single-prize attacker, but pivot to Raging Bolt if they Star Requiem with Sada's Vitality.
