Best Pocket Gengar Deck?

My main deck for the Genetic Apex Emblem Event 1 of Pokémon TCG Pocket.

Didn't need another Gengar EX or Mewtwo EX. This started off as budget Gengar EX Deck (since I was missing 1 copy) that I built just for fun and didn't even consider running Mewtwo, however, I started noticing that the Deck was missing some firepower, so I felt the need to add it to the Deck.

Didn't need another Gengar EX or Mewtwo EX. This started off as budget Gengar EX Deck (since I was missing 1 copy) that I built just for fun and didn't even consider running Mewtwo, however, I started noticing that the Deck was missing some firepower, so I felt the need to add it to the Deck.

Strategy:

The deck runs Anti-Supporter mechanic, which locks your opponent out of some of the most predominant cards in the format (Professor's Research (Promo-A), Misty (Genetic Apex), Giovanni (Genetic Apex) and Sabrina (Genetic Apex), as well as some minor ones like Koga (Genetic Apex) and Erika (Genetic Apex)).

This deck has a quality which I love quite much - it doesn't mind going first. The worse Pokémon you could start is Mewtwo EX (as if that isn't saying something already), because the Gastly+Haunter combo is pretty neat and Psyduck ain't half bad (especially, if you go second with this one, because it also locks your opponent out of Supporters).

Gengar EX is also really bulky with its 170 HP, surviving most attacks with a reasonable amount of HP. Starmie and Pikachu EX leave it with 80 HP after one attack and survives Mewtwo EX's Psydrive with 20 HP (which is a great feet on itself, it is a pretty pricey attack or requires a good field with Gardevoir to make it consistent). Overall, the HP on most Pokémon cards in this deck just barely makes it as enough, but it does a pretty decent job.

And 1 Energy for its 50 damage Supporter Lock attack even the regular Gengar is a powerful threat on the field. It also has 120 HP and only gives your opponent 1 Prize card when it is defeated, so you can use it to defend your EX Pokémon (and if it stays too long on the field, it can cripple your opponent quite a lot too, so they might want to take it out fast). The starting hand can surprisingly be quite satisfying because of this too and getting Pokémon via the Pokéball will usually get you something expectable (so you can prepare in advance for the best and worst case scenarios of what you get with it).

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with it and this has been my favorite Deck by far in the format. While it isn't unbeatable, I've had great consistency and a great number of wins in a row with it. I decided to share the decklist because of that, enjoy ^^
