it's just to help you draw the card

you wouldn't need to get out out 4 or 3 gengar vmaxs or 4 or 3 houndooms

Normally, if you wanted to have more consistency drawing the Pokemon you would use trainers or add more of the basic, just because the evolution without the basic is essentially useless.
