Deck Primer

This might be one of the best decks I've ever seen or made. And I made it as a joke.

Hi, I'm the person that made the Magnezone deck a while back with a really long description, and I've finally made another deck!

This deck... Is BROKEN. SERIOUSLY, in the time I've used it in TCG Live, the ONLY deck it's lost to is Charizard, and that's only because it's weak to it. If there's a tool or stadium to turn off weaknesses (Protective goggles don't work, since they only do for basics) then you can

If there's a tool or stadium to turn off weaknesses (Protective goggles don't work, since they only do for basics) then you can add it if Fire decks are becoming an issue for you.

With that said, I'll instruct you on the priming for the deck.

Turn 1

Don't be surprised if you need to mulligan one or more times. Once you get a basic, most likely a Gimmighoul, you'll probably want to go second to attack first turn, or use an Arven if you got one from the initial draw. If your only basic from turn one is Radiant Greninja, you'll probably want to use a Concealed Cards in hopes of getting a Poffin or straight up drawing a Gimmighoul. Arven works too, as you can use it to grab a Poffin and TM. Attach an energy to Greninja for retreating later. If your basic is a Gimmighoul on the initial draw, attach an energy to the active one and use the top attack, either Chest-ouflage or Call for Family. Also use Poffins, Arven, or Capturing Aromas if you have them. If you have a TM and some benched Gimmighouls, use it. You'll need to get the Gholdengos out quickly.

Turn 2

At this point, I'll assume you have at least 1 Gimmighoul out. If not, repeat the Greninja thing or with Fezandipiti just wait until you get something that can get one out. With Gimmighoul out, you need a Gholdengo ex, if you don't already. You can get one with Capturing Aroma if you're lucky or with a TM Evo. Once you have one out, attach an energy to it (You probably have at least 2 or 3), switch into it, then use Coin Bonus to grab 2 cards. If you're switching into a Gholdengo from the bench, ALWAYS REMEMBER TO NOT USE THE ABILITY YET. If it's in the active you draw 2, and that extra card could be the difference between winning and losing. Coin Bonus most of the time will get you energy, which you can discard one for 50 damage each with Make it Rain. This is where the deck gets to a bullying simulator. Since we have so many energy, we can do a s##t ton of damage. I've done upwards of 1000 damage by discarding 20 energy at once. Remember to do the multiplication math right, and not discard more energy than you need to, unless if KOing your opponent's active will win you the game this turn, in which case, go wild.

From that turn on, just use Coin bonus when possible, and try to get all 4 of your Gholdengos out at once. You can also have Greninja and Fezandipiti out if you want, though they're mainly there for more drawing, and therefore more energy, meaning more damage.

Q&A

Now, you might still be confused or have problems in the deck. That's where I come in. Here's some questions or problems you might have, and I'll answer them to the fullest extent.

Q: Why is there a regular Gholdengo in the deck?

This was mainly added as a counter to Mimikyu and Neutralization Zone. Those disable damage from rule box Pokemon (V's, ex's, VStars, etc have them) from damaging them, so it's there as a backup measure just in case that were to be the case.

Q: Why isn't there a VSTAR card in the deck, like the Seal Stones or a VSTAR Pokemon?

Simple! It's to have more energy. Having either a Stone or VSTAR Pokemon would take up at least 2 valuable card slots, which could be going towards more energy for more blunt power.

Q: I'm getting the Gimmighouls out, but I can never get the Gholdengos out! What do I do?

Well, with the Ace Spec, there are several options that could be useful. If you're not doing as much damage as you'd want to, I'd recommend Maximum Belt. If you're struggling to keep them standing, or just need a general flexible Ace, I'd recommend Hero's Cape. And to answer that question, I'd use Hyper Aroma.

Q: Why use Capturing Aroma if it relies on a coin flip to get the card you need? Why not just use Ultra Ball?

Well, Capturing Aroma is just generally the better option for this particular deck. It doesn't require discarding, and if you need a basic, Ultra Ball just wouldn't be my first option for that. Aroma can get both evos and basics, which the deck uses a lot of, and doesn't have the downside of having to discard, in exchange for it being a bit more luck based. If you prefer Ultra though, you're free to replace the Aromas with Ultras if you decide to use the deck.

Q: All of my energies are in the discard!!

Well, that's exactly why Energy Retrieval is so good for this deck. It uses 2 regular ones and 4 superior ones. Regular energy retrieval just grabs 2 energy from discard and puts them in your hand. Superior grabs 4 in exchange of discarding 2 cards from your hand. I have more Superiors in the deck because a lot of strong 2 stage exs like Dragapult or Charizard have hps in the 300s, requiring like 7 energy to ko. Being able to just grab over half the energy there, ready to use again is too good to pass up.

Q: Fezandipiti????? Why Fezandipiti???

Same reason it's used in other decks, for Flip The Script. The effect, especially in this deck, is incredibly good. You lost a Gholdengo? No worries, now you have 100 extra damage worth of energy when you switch in the next Gholdengo!

Q: What do I do for switching in something from the bench? There's no switch cards, only Boss's Orders!

That was on purpose. All of the basics only require 1 energy to retreat, and with how many there are in the deck plus energy retrievals, it shouldn't be the end of the world. Boss's Orders and Prime Catcher pretty much don't affect you, because of how easy it is to switch back in. Boss's Orders is just such an amazing card that I couldn't not have it in.

And that's everything! If you have additional questions, or are having difficulties, send a comment and I'll reply with a fix or answer.
