Gholdengo's ability lets you draw one if on the bench, two in active, which is great card advantage. But that's not all! Its only attack costs 1 metal energy and can do up to 550 damage (by discarding the remaining 11 metal energy in the deck).

The support cast is made up of:

Lady - which lets you search for four energy

Superior Energy Retrieval - which lets you set up again after an attack

Adaman - which can discard your extra metal energy to tutor two cards (i.e. Super Energy Retrieval to get energy

I feel like if you can fit more Letters of Encouragement (at least 1 more) and a 2-2 Arceus line, you'd hit gold. Beyond that, it's tech and optimization

I am in love with this deck! After testing, it has been incredibly consistent.

I would replace one Gimmighoul (Paradox Rift) for one Brassius (Obsidian Flames) which can help if you do not have enough energy, but have a big hand, which is really common with all the draw mechanics.

I also replaced one Nest Ball (Scarlet & Violet) for Worker (Silver Tempest) because it can discard annoying stadiums such as Lost City (Lost Origin) or Path to the Peak (Chilling Reign) , so you can play PokéStop (Pokémon GO) more.

Thanks for making this deck, it's probably one of my favorite decks now. It works so much better with Charizard ex becoming less common.
