Just curious, so the 3 water energy that Vstar would be using is for the Greninja or for Palkia Vstar attack?
The reason i ask is because you are playing a Palkia Vstar with a pokemon that limit opponent's bench, so i am curious what's the play with Glimmora EX and Palkia where you need more bench pokemon for the attack to matter
Hi, I wanted some good hitters, and I thought of Palkia, so the Vstar can benefit both the Greninja and the Palkia. It has come in handy in situations where I struggle to build the Glimmora. I have to say that some online version of it inspired the deck, and then I built my own. It is a fast-paced deck, in my opinion, as you manage to put down the Glimmora and energy on the first turn, and on the second turn, you can be ready to attack. I will probably purchase it IRL cards for it. If you have some other suggestion outside the Palkia let me know.
Palkia forces you to run Water energies, which hurts your consistency with Glimmora especially because Fighting doesn't really have a good energy acceleration engine. You could run something like Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex or even Bloodmoon Ursaluna (Shrouded Fable), both of which hit hard and can use Fighting energies. Running Radiant Hisuian Sneasler essentially brings Glimmora's damage up to 170, which lets it 2HKO stage 2 ex-es like Charizard and Dragapult too.
I think maybe Bidoof (Brilliant Stars) is the better choice for Bidoof currently, since bench snipe decks are uncommon but Dragapult ex can easily take out the 60HP one. A single Glimmet (Paldea Evolved) has lower HP but can get you Glimmora on your first turn going second, which is nice. I also don't think you need both 2 Super Rod and 2 Energy Retrieval, this isn't really a deck that's discarding enough energy to warrant that.
