Adding Charizard (Pokémon GO) was initially done because of said limited card pool, but I've ended up really liking how much easier it makes gassing up a back-up attacker and the unique identity it gives the deck in the mirror. Pidgeot even attacks sometimes! Similarly, Heatmor (Fusion Strike) was initially a budget replacement for Entei V, but with Char-GO in the back, Exciting Flame is much easier to pull off.
