I would play Collapsed Stadium so the board gets wiped immediately. Isn't it annoying for all that to happen just for your opponent to have 1 on the bench?
WafflzInTheHouse It does board wipe them though. Cyrus has them shuffle guys until they have 2 left (Your opponent chooses 2 of the benched Pokemon, and shuffles the rest into their deck), and Sylveon deletes 2. So this combo works even if the opponent has 8 Pokemon on their bench via Sky Field or AZU. If that were the case, I would 100% be running either Collapsed or Parallel City though.
Oops!
Funny thing, I actually read the Cyrus, I guess the text was too small lol.
WafflzInTheHouse Funny thing about it actually, is that back in the day it was a HUGE bait card for people who didn't read it correctly, and assumed that the Benched Pokemon they're selecting are the ones they wamnt to get rid of. So it would amount to them choosing stuff like Tapu Lele-GX and Dedenne-GX, only for them to keep those ones and lose everything else. Of course that doesn't really matter here since you're deleting everything at once, but it was funny at the time when randoms on PTCGO would concede out of shame.
This is a really cool idea, reminds me of good ol' Noctowl (Sword & Shield) control. I think your main issue is probably going to be energy acceleration, since most decks can hit enough damage to KO Sylveon on their first turn. You can probably replace Gladion with Redeemable Ticket now we have it, since it's an item you can grab Cyrus from the prizes and use it on the same turn if you happen to prize him.
Is there a reason to use Air Balloon over Float Stone and this Eevee over Eevee, which has the same ability but more HP? Besides cost of course, how is this deck almost 200 dollars but only 45 euros lmao
Paisley Park, After Dark Oh yeah, Redeemable Ticket is a good add. Balloon is mostly there for budget reasons, but yes, realistically you'd want to use Float Stone when you get down to the fine details. The 50HP Eevee was also me just being shortsighted lol. This one has 1 fewer retreat cost than the 60HP one, and I'll usually pick maneuverability over bulk. But with the rise of Dragapult in Expanded, the 10 HP might make a larger difference now. But yeah, in this case I'm stupid because you'll almost always Energy Evolve it into Sylveon, which has 2 retreat anyways lol.
Regarding energy and damage, I considered running Sylveon ex from Surging Sparks over the GX with Counter Energy over DCE, which could still work here. I was worried about the added moving part of needing to be behind on prizes for it to activate, but since I added the Dusk line towards the end of the deckbuilding process, controlling the prize map shouldn't be as much of an issue anymore. I also figured that using Magical Ribbon on the first turn going second could help a lot in terms of getting combo pieces later on. Sylveon ex has better bulk though, as well as an actual attack that can mess up opponents from time to time.
Thanks for the advice!
wait... didn't you already make this deck before?
Lugiawings Yeah kind of. I prefer to upload new decks that I improved upon rather than editing the old ones, because it puts it back into circulation for new feedback than someone having to dig through my profile and find it.
